Hi folks,
I have now dabbled a little bit with basslines, and have crreated another short track call The Experiment. Bassline kicks in half way through the track.

Any feedback is welcome, in the mean time i'm working on getting more quality drumkits.
Regards

if its ment like chillout dnb its ok,
but if you want to do real techstep or darkstep eg. than put on a dirty bassline lots of more hits and more cymbals eg.
for my opinion remove the lead sounds or put them in the background and one octave higher, or just in the intro.

hi mate
id try to put more variation into the track, the beats could do with been chopped a little, and the intro chords could do with either fading into the background a little, or fading out and maybee bringing back in later.
the mix could do with a little work, the basslines pretty quiet, and the arpeggitated sort of sound is a litttle mudddy.
maybee if you relook at the peice as more of an organic form, constantly morphing and shifting, try to create a soundscape that breathes life, thats what im trying to do , but havent done it yet though
maybee try a little more urgency after the initial intro to give a heavyer drop when the bass comes in.
this is only my opinion, im hardley a seasoned producer my self, main thing is enjoy it, were all on a big learning curve, and lessons learnt will reap rewards.
peace
jem.
