depends whether your on router, hardware or software firewall. try clicking on security center in control panel -> windows firewall. there should be a "exceptions" button where you can open up ports (firewall closes all ports and allows exceptions)
if youre on hardware firewall or router, theres really no point in trying. bribe your admin instead

I've got a 512 kbps connection, so I was thinking
