just started building this over the weekend. it is currently at 2:50 and ready for a breakdown. i know its missing an element, but i wanted to get it mapped out then take a few days to think it over. the vox was make with a text to speech program. all of the chime/bell sounds were made from an open-hat and a ton of dub-style fx.

the site i use for hosting cuts the volume about %20, so turn it up a notch Big Grin

I like the minimalistic approach and the vibe. you could do much more with the sound choice and/or general eq-ing, mostly the bassline could do with a tweak up. what software did you use here? I'd like to have a go at beefening up this one if you use reason. if you want to share it, that is

Hmm, why is this called hard? It's not hard at al, lol Smile

Anyway, the drums are quite well done, but all the hits are so short, thus the beats lack a bit of power.

Liking some of the effects used, but not the other sounds.

yo,

not to bad man, could use some depth and power.

nice edits and stuff, some reverb on your snare and hats will
give it a bit of depth.

bass is a bit casio, put it down a few steps and get rid of the
nintendo sounding little fast bits in it. and then effect it.

main kik is a bit flat and short, get a punchier one

you could add some more hats too.

i would put more effects on the vocal too. maybe an LFO or 2.

track has a very trippy feel to it now that i've listend to it for a bit,
would be interesting on mushies for sure.

i was going for a different feel, and i like it, but i def see how the eq levels were skewed in the process.

ive taken all of the feedback into consideration and beefed up the drums. ive also removed the vox altogether, added a string line for more depth and stripped the ambiance down to an even more dubby/trippy feel.

i dont use reason, so i cant forward an easy versin to you cynic, but if you want the sample pack, you can have it. same goes to anyone: if you hear a sound you like, i will gladly get it to you.
