Calibre - Drop it down/Calyx - Illusions
Either 1 of those two, they both rank evenly, depends what mood im in but the bass on both of these tracks is mad.

the best dnb tune is yet to come! |
Probably. Allthough I think Limewax - Slaves is insanely good, maybe even better than Scream War!

It struck me how much Adam F's 'Metropolis' gets played out at my house.
There are much more nominees, but taking this one's age = 10 years ago already, it's tension, it's inner silence, it's significance and it's power to leave a multitude of people on the dancfloor with their mouths wide open, into consideration, i'd say. Adam F did the job.

2nd that one. I like a lot of the stuff roni did a few years ago, too bad his recent work isn't innovative anymore.

that kid is already causing major rukkus on the scene. although I'm not that fond of his work (too much start-stop) it is fuckin hard and brutal like nothing ever made before.. every next track of his I hear is even nastier than the last.

On spot number 5. Shimon & Andy C - Quest: Those wobbly bass sounds are the ultimate in coolness. Makes ya shake all over
.
On spot number 4. Shy FX - Bambaata: Catches the vibe of the original drumloop (and the stab) better then the original. Crazy fucked up tune, the souds-from-the-bushes and the screams make it a real killer to get you dancing beyond the point where you are tired.
On spot number 3. Jonny L - Piper: Sounds so simple, yet so perfect gets me time and time again in total extacy (without swallowing pills).
On spot number 2. Ed Rush, Optical & Fierce - Cutslo: FAT bassline, cool atmosphere, ultimate build-up, masters at work.
And on spot number 1. Bad Company - The Nine: no explanation here 'cause words can't tell...

Dunno if its the number one of all time, but tis a good call.
Id say my timeless favourite is probably Zinc - Super Sharp Shooter. Its the one tune that everyone recognises and loves even if they dont really like dnb for a reason. Bit like brown paper bag but better imo.

If you like 'The Nine' then you should check out Chase & status - Ten Tonne
its a total remake of the nine, - think they've even used some of the original samples
