Some Press text bizzle for those who aren't in the know. Thank you Divvs for this one:

THIS WEEK: The Therapy Sessions hit's Belgium:

Twelve steps of auditory remedy.

Robyn Chaos and Dylan started Therapy Sessions in 2003 as their answer to the ever-growing demand for darker and more eclectic styles of drum and bass on the UK party scene.

Their recipe consists of a handful of the most skilled UK artists, a sprinkle of international talent, quality sounds and an intimate setting, all at a reasonable price.

Sound like your dream come true? You’re not alone. Therapy Sessions proved to be the remedy we were all looking for, as artists and crowds alike showed their support.

The Bristol Sessions were launched in 2005, and the Philadelphia edition soon followed as did Vienna, Hamburg and Rotterdam.

Now the Sessions, Hydra and Wasp have collaborated to bring you Therapy Sessions Belgium at the Silo in Leuven. Expect dark beats and beep bass, as the best of UK as well as local talents treat you to a dose of pure mayhem to satisfy even the most critical of bass purists.

Vicious Circle

The four man collective known as Vicious Circle began in a flat in South London almost 3 years ago. Born out of a mutual love of all things Drum n Bass and with a wide range of influences ranging from Detroit techno to Motown, this exciting new crew have entered the scene with a bang and intend to continue rocking dance floors with their no holds barred style of deep dark future funk.

Inspired by the futuristic techy styles of the late 90’s coming from the likes of Bad Company, Konflict and the Virus/Prototype camp’s, Vicious Circle set about crafting there own distinct sound and networking with artists worldwide. The big break came when Universal Project, impressed with what they were hearing, offered the team their choice of remix from the UP back catalogue. Underground anthem ‘Jackhammer’ originally released on Loxys ‘Cylon’ imprint was their choice and the results were devastating! So much so in fact that legendary label Renegade Hardware were soon calling and before long Vicious Circle’s remix was signed to Hardware as part of UP’s ‘Black Techno EP’

Residencies at nights such as Repercussion and Ambush and bookings at high profile events like Renegade Hardware at the End and Anger Managements Therapy Sessions gave the crew the chance to unleash their rolling thunder on audiences around the country. A Vicious Circle DJ set is a blend of the most cutting edge dubs from all over the world mixed up with a few stone cold classics and is guaranteed to get the dancefloor rocking.

Releases’ wise its been a busy year too kicking off with ‘Apparition’ (Feat EBK) on Kryptic Minds Defcom label, followed by the minimal tech funk of ‘Doomtrain’ on Renegade Hardware’s ‘Guerrilla Warfare LP’ and the crews twisted remix of breaks don ILS single ‘Cherish’ on Distinctive. Also about to drop are ‘Shadrock’ feat. Corrupt Souls and ‘The Grudge’ with Chase & Status both on Renegade Hardware and of course the massive club smasher ‘Hellrazor’ with Universal Project on UP Recs.

Raiden

Heavily influenced by the searing, grinding sound of techno but very much into the rolling break beat sound. Raiden decided to meld the two together creating a fierce, yet deep sound solidly infected with dark elements of funk, truly creating a trademark style within the genre.

His arrival on the scene in 2002 was a result of meeting with Dj Friction and Nu Balance at Airtight Studios where he produced tunes for their label Transparent. Soon after he was approached by drum & bass juggernaut label Renegade Hardware, for whom he wrote the instant classic ‘Fallin’. Which was voted in the top 20 best tunes of the year in Muzik Magazine.

An arsenal of heavyweight tunes has followed, securing Raiden as one of the most respected producers on the scene today and it doesn't stop there. Raiden has recently gathered a group of like-minded producers to form the label OffKey, whose main goal is to bridge the gap between techno and drum & bass in a new, unique and pioneering format. All this on top of a heavy touring schedule shows that Raiden is one of the busiest and most talented players on the field.

Dylan

The Sultan of Sickness, Dylan needs no introduction when it comes to drum & bass. The past few years have seen this top DJ and Producer go from absolute strength to strength, not only producing consistently, but consistently good; proving him to be, without a doubt, one of the hottest talents in the scene.

Dylan began back in the Electro era, He then followed the music and studied all the different genres, evolving from Electro to Hip Hop to House and finally, his life…Drum n’ Bass! Taking the obvious first step, Dylan played on the London pirate radio scene with long time friend B Key for many years.

Dylan decided to turn his twisted mind to the production side of things, scraping the money together for his first studio set up, and started to master the sampler and computer with B Key. They would spend every hour possible getting to grips with the equipment, and soon had some tracks complete - which they played to Danny Breaks. This lead to the debut releases of Kosmos “Tighten Up” and ”Liquid Beats”. By then, Dylan had definitely caught the bug and hasn’t looked back since. He has continued to produce killer after killer including the anthem “Need You” with Ink, The“Inferno EP,Dominion and Penitentiary to name a few. Releasing on renown labels such as Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware, Outbreak, Cylon, Timeless, Moving Shadow, Droppin’ Science, Architecture, Musica, Biotic, XXX and has collaborated with a slew of top producers in the scene including Technical Itch, Friction,Paradox, as well as his own projects ‘Faith in Chaos’ alongside Robyn Chaos, and the original ‘Four Horsemen’, Loxy, Keaton, and Ink.

This past year has been a very busy one for Mr Dylan, with the conception of his first solely owned label “Freak Recordings” responsible for some of the year’s hottest releases such as Knowledge Award winner Dkay’s “Be There 4 U” and “Martians” as well as Mason featuring Armanni Reign and Sharpness MC “Ruff Rugged and Raw”. 2004 also sees Dylan taking his place among the mighty soldiers of the legendary Metalheadz imprint with tracks “Metaphor” and “Lost Dreams” an honour for someone so consistently inspired by the label’s releases over the years

D-convict

Sharp and skillful mixing blend together the most eclectic variety of sounds you can think of. Labels such as Metalheadz, Reïnforced, Goodlooking, No U-turn, Moving Shadow, V Recordings and R&S are well represented in his record collection.

As part of the Redroom and Dedkob crews his skills were recognized by many, resulting in continuous bookings which haven’t slowed down since. He has played All over Belgium and Holland at events such as Star Warz, Enter The Future, Steam, Red Room, Metalheadz 10 years, A Jungle Supreme, AreA 51, War of the Roses, StepRed Face ne, Red Room, 100%, Nightown, Backstage, The Zoo, Stepping Bass, MOD and Sous-Sol, to name but a few. Bookings abroad include France and Lithuania.

These sets were played alongside a host of quality names such as 4hero (Dego & MC MAD) , Krust, Shy fx, Remarc, Clipz, Blame, D-Bridge, Storm, Fresh, Raiden, Goldie, Skitty, Panacea and Limewax.

This DJ has the power to put his heart and soul into a set, hyping crowds up with driving bass and often unexpected but delightful twists to his selections. Infusing the best of DNB from all eras with tasters of Funk, Rave and Hiphop, this artists love of music and good times is infectious.

Besides Spinning solo and back to back sets and organizing the legendary Redroom nights he also turned his hand at production and is currently working on some tracks with his brother. Definitely one to watch.

Wasp

Wasp is renowned for his skilled versatility and sharp mixing skills. He plays out regularly in Belgium and abroad, bringing you solo sets, back-to-back sessions with DJ’s Panzar and Sprout as Gamorah Sound, as well as the occasional, legendary set alongside his collaborate in audio crime, D-convict (Redroom/Dedkob).

His very broad selection is mixed with surgical precision, and comes together to form sets that are structured to keep the crowd reveling. Clear and strong build-ups pave the way for pounding plateaus consisting of fresh jump up, through huge breaky beats and over to dark tech step. Drop after drop the tension builds up, culminating in rolling mayhem that leaves you craving more every time.

His skills have got him regular bookings in his home country of Belgium, where he has played alongside Trace, Alley Cat, Dylan, Robyn Chaos, Technical Itch, Skynet, dj Steppa, Pascal, Dillinja, Lemon D, Chris SU, Resonant Evil, Panacea, Eye-D, Hidden, Counterstrike, Noisia, Raiden, and many more.

He plays in the UK, Holland, Germany and France regularly and recently blew the Israeli crowd’s minds at Vortex in Tel-Aviv, together with Vicious circle, Blacklisted and Choke.

Saïko

Saïko is an active promoter and DJ based in Brussels, constantly mixing all over Belgium. He regularly promotes events in Brussels including Hydra Sessions, Next Level and Caliente, as one of the founding members of the Hydra collective. He also produces together with Gregg from Hydra, and they have recently been signed to John B's label, Nu Electro. A 12" on Nu Electro will be released in the next months, with vocals by John B and Lotus.

Saïko has also just joined Dedkob, a crew based in Flanders. He has brought over UK artists including Dylan, John B, Dom & Roland and Moving Fusion. He has also mixed internationally the UK, France, Netherlands, Portugal and Germany, and alongside many well known DJs. He produces with Gregg, Hydra's resident scratch DJ.

He originally started out mixing Hiphop. After going to his first drum & bass party, he switched to mixing drum & bass, but he still listens to a variety of styles of music, which comes across in his mixes. His rapport with the crowd is second to none, and he is usually seen dancing and grooving as much as the people on the dance floor! He's also very responsive, changing his sound to adapt to the audience.

His sets are trance-influenced, rolling, dark journeys into dance floor d&b, jungle breaks, old skool and more. However, he can mix a variety of styles, and is as happy playing a chilled out set for a relaxed party, but of course he also loves to play very upfront dance floor tunes for the clubs.

He has played in venues in Belgium, France, Holland, Germany and the UK (at Dylan and Robyn's Therapy Sessions among others) alongside artists like John B, Dieselboy, Raiden, D-bridge, Shy FX, Brockie, Kenny Ken, Dom & Roland, John B, Robyn Chaos, Trace, Break and Dylan.

Rhumble

Rhumble is a Belgian DJ/promoter; based in Brussels. He’s been DJing for more than 10 years, and organises regular events as part of the Hydra collective, including Next Level and Caliente. He also organises breakcore and jungle parties. He plays regularly in Belgium and internationally.

Rhumble is a truly versatile DJ, who has achieved a smooth technical style in his approach to vinyl. Depending on the venue and time of set, Rhumble can play funky, Latino-flavoured sets, through to the hardest, darkest sound with touches of breakcore.

In 1999, he joined the Enter The Darkness crew, and organised events with Ressy G. They invited DJs like John B and Alpha Omega for their first appearances in Belgium. He’s also played with other international DJs like Simon Bassline Smith, Get It Boyz, and Otis.

Subsequently he joined Hydra and has been promoting and DJing with them ever since, and has played alongside Dylan, Robyn Chaos, Dom & Roland, Klute, Trace, Moving Fusion, Alley Cat, Dieselboy, Raiden, B-Key, D-Bridge, Break, Chris SU, Skitty, Ill Logic, Exile, John B, Loxy & Ink, Gridlok, Cause 4 Concern and more. He has been booked at Dylan & Robyn's Therapy Sessions in the UK, and at other parties in Holland, France and Germany.

Rhumble is also active in the breakcore scene, via the Thunder Douf concept with Bass-Addict, he has invited guests like Toe Cutter, Shitmatt, Sickboy, Ell-zo, Doormouse, Stunt Rock, Abelcain, Anonymous, Xanopticon, Hecate. They also organised a party with the Breakcore Gives Me Wood Crew (BGMW are Sickboy, Droon, Tim Terror, Rick Mayhem and The Gigglin Dildas), featured the guys from Zod records (Emotional Joystick, Curtis Chip, Bin Ray and Dj Viberaider) and MARK N.asenbluten.
