k the drums are much clearer on this tune..

nice bass hits

a highpass filtered break or some hats now would be a good idea imo..
nice panning
quite a mellow roller the vocals should have more reverb or sumfin on em to make them fit in more imo...

drop : again the tune is roling and packed with melodies but the drums undermine the whole thing, jus cant really let myself go listening to this

but its an improvement on the last tune i heard from ya

cheers

Appreciate the listens & reviews!!! This one went a bit more in the direction of breaks, the drumz had a lot more layers, maybe I need to stack them more. Z

Intro drums sound tight as does the bass. I like the break, think maybe the bass sound a bit separate from the drums though. This second break at 2 mins is sweet. Now all the instruments sound much more "together". The screeching sound is good, but maybe there is too much of it...
Maybe you should consider having more of a build up at the second drop.
Overall this is a pretty good tune, Think its quite groovy and will probably keep it...

8/10

first listen:

chill intro. lay back and light up Cool i like when the full beat kicks in. might be a little early for subs, but im not complaining. if you can, try chopping that guitar snip out of the vox. wow, interesting bassline. serious mechanization. im enjoying the ambiance in the background. i like eerie sounds. haha dropped me right into breakbeats. that sudden switch up could be a point worthy of critique, but i will see how i feel on the second run through.

second take:

very industrial feel. that errie fx is great early in the track, but it starts to get on as the track evolves. maybe something even so simple as changing the pitch could fix that. ya man, that sudden switch to breaks is mean Smile any serious transitions like that are better served with something to announce it. you know, break up the drum beat, make a bassline fill, vut to silence... the options are wide open.

overall:

the mechbass is cool. i enjoyed the parts with the stripped down bassline with the drum beat and that eerie fx. the last 40 seconds were a let down tho, most likely due to that fx wearing on me. even putting the drum snips from the intro would spruce it up a bit. id also recommend chopping up the vox more instead of using it in its presented form.

i like the sounds tho. you can do a lot with the sample pack. hope this helped.

peace.

edit because i forgot how to spell Smile

The reviews are very appreciated, tons of great ideas we hope to use on an edit and in future tracks!

The crazy FX sound was the tuning of an alarm clock radio over Japanese AM radio stations. Then I took the sound and cut it and streached it in Sound Forge and gave it some chorus and then layered and panned a vocal over it using WAVES Doppler. It was just a wierd idea. If anyone wants samples for a mix Erina and I are more than happy to share! Z

It's alright we me as long as it's a remix and the song title/suffix stays the same. Please give me a little time to get the samples for you, an e-mail to remind me in a few days would be great!!! Z

cool intro , drums are tight , sounds quiet good ...
hats coming in then drop , nice one.
heavy basskick has got to much low end , fix that.
wow , that stereo bass is so great (everybody says "no bass in stereo" , but thats bullshit) .
and you drums have been improving Bigup , good to hear that.
maybe ad some more high end to your drums by adding still some more layering. maybe cut an amen or firefight or tramen in pieces n layer those.
dont like the reece again Frown sounds to saw-like.
structure n ambi is top like allways Tongue
good one

Another sparse intro - cool - love the really thick sub and snare. The drums are your cleanest yet. Constant sound(s) in background are really cool - give this tune its whole feel. Bad boy vocals - repetitive but don't at all get anoying. Sound at drop has a great tone too it and swell sounds that come in are awesome. Just wished the drums got a bit heavier when that new element came in to balance a bit. Bit downward sweeping/panning sounds are really nice - and drop out with slow drums and reverse snare is very classy sounding. Second drop is a bit weak - I like the roll but the drums need to come slamming back in a bit harder - bass is a bit basic too. Atmos are top notch and most sounds are perfectly mixed and give the track great space. Bass and drums alone after 5:00 sound reaaally good - funky stuff bro - ending has tension and sounds like something is still coming. Another good one Nick ol' boy Bigup Bigup

Thanks Nosrac and Greyone, I really appreciate the reviews and help given this far. I will work more on the drumz in the next track to give a bit more variation and try to make them a bit heavier at the drop with more high end. Cheers! Z

i love the overall eerieness of the intro.
kinda leaves you anticipating whats gonna happen
i like the hats roll before the drop, the beat seems to lack a little. its not as in your face as i would like.
Stereo bass works in this track.
overall i would just say the beats need a little more prescence but a good overall track

Thanks for the review and advice. We are probaly not going to work on this tune any more since it's been almost 2 years past. I think we got you covered on the drumz in our newer tunes. Thanks.
