The server went down due to an unknown (hardware?) problem last Saturday.
Normally when a problem is encountered the server reboots automatically, but this time it got stuck at a boot time file system consistency check which required manual confirmation.
Unfortunately I was in the middle of setting up a concert somewhere deep in the Netherlands and was blissfully unaware of the problem until I got a phone call from one of my friends.
I notified the hosting company but there was some trouble locating some records and it took quite a while to get it fixed.
The server was down for a total period of approximately 12 hours, sorry for the inconvenience...

I didn't notice either, since I wasn't home all saturday. But luckely enough no data got lost

Yeah I wondered what the hell had happened! I was woriied that maybe the site had been closed because of someone using a copyright sample or something like that. Thank god its all cool!

this place has been my holy grail since october 2004 man

Been down again from 19:49 CET to 1:31 CET. I'm moving the site tomorrow if I can, or the day after at the latest.
