Does anyone know of any good VST instruments that are made especially drum n bass style bass? they kinda need to have alot of things to mess with as well so i can get some really unique sounds...
atm im stuck adapting bad bass from fairly boring synth vsts which ends up as average dnb bass at the other end... any help would be appreciated
 thnx guys

Yep the sytrus is so underestimated its got so many features, lfos, oscillators, filters....its amazing, also try Absynth 3 , a bit more complex than the sytrus but it has alot more features the only limit is your imagination

reese is good, but only in a limit of about an octave, and it goes to shit after that.

jx16 is crap. so i hope thats a joke. lolz.

there's a few options but not enough. not even a waveform selection.

truly, Z3TA is the overall best for options and shit. 6 osc, like 4 lfo, bit of eq distortion, reverb, delay, to help it. and good quality from that, with 2x sample rate for mix down sparkle.
and a fully configurable matrix that leads to abundant options.

this is if you understand synthology. if not, than yea, get MDA JX16, or whatever. start to learn about how synth's work would be bettter. than you'd know how to get the most from your synth. and not have to worry about getting a synth with good presets.

ReFX Beast VST or you could go for the free version (which is not as cool of course) ReFX Claw, it's on their website for download. ReFX also has the legendary QuadraSID, which is a C64 emulator. Some of the best reeses I ever made was with that one.
