This is part of a 4 track EP named after the elements you find in rpg games etc, Water, Wind, Fire and Earth. I finished this last year so I don't think I will do any more to it, the only thing it could maybe do with is a little more low frequency bass but the sound quality is good loud as it is. This track is based around one riff, the intro sounds/pads and the bass are all the same but changed around to keep the track fresh. I had some party flashbacks and put some horns in there too. Here is the link. C()()()

A few things I don't like about the track:
- The melody has been used soo many times. It's not fresh, and this results in the track sounding unoriginal and boring.
- The sound of the bassline: Sounds too much like a digital distortion effect (which it probably is?). This makes it sound like a bassline you would create on a gameboy or something.
- The bassline sounds out of key at moments.
- You play the exact melody with the hits at the exact same places as your other melodies. This doesn't add to the variation off the track, hence making it sound boring sooner.
Don't get me wrong. The track isn't bad overall. The buildup is quite decent, and the drums are nice (altho u use the same variation all the time, more variation here would be welcome aswell). So if you would have maked the sound of the bassline phat, and if you would have used more different melodies, the track would be much better imo.

Yeah, sounds a bit out of place, doesn't really fit with the rest of the track.

I object to that, the horn is what makes the first break different from the final break, and if you play it rather loud it gives a nice pins and needles effect down the back of the neck. I'll upload some of my new stuff for you to check out soon. C()()()
