Has anyone got a list of signed artists that you would say define each of the different sub genres? clownstep, breakcore, drill n bass etc...
I'm just intrigued as to the different categories within dnb and im looking to expand my music collection
plus, i have yet to settle into a style. i think atm im just wandering around using all kinds of things in my tunes and i guess im just searching for a particular style that suits my abilities atm. I'm experimenting with amens now and really dirty basslines and im getting there i think... ill submit some tracks here wen i can get em off the pc at the studio at skool and i want you guys to rip em to pieces with constructive critiscism
neways, a list of artists that define the different sub genres of dnb (n please state wat the sub genre is if possible
thanks a lot guys

hey all! I'm making a clownstep tune with techy influences and a neurofunk bassline. it's gonna have liquid-style strings, techstep beats accompanied by breakcore drum rolls
how cool is that?

I'm not a specialist but I guess you could say something like this
- Clownstep: Generation Dub, Clipz, Pendulum...
- Liquid: Calibre? Dunno, don't follow this genre
- Neurofunk: Some Noisia stuff, Politix, Bad Robot (damn, I want that name!)
- Techstep: Lots of older Tech Itch stuff, dunno under what to classify his new stuff...

in the UK the term neurofunk dont really exist , we would class noisia as , i dunno very hard techy drumnbass.
neurofunk..hmm. sounds too soft for the type of tunes are put in this category imo. its like inventing a false genre to us its the same thing....

have you heard Concussion by Noisia? it's on their label called Vision, first inprint named VSN001. if you can - get your ears to it.
I think it defines neurofunk as an expression.. melodic funky techstep.

i wouldnt call him wobble...the majority of his stuff is chiller liquidy stuff...its dancefloor none the less...
and for the record, clownstep is defined by step and break patterns.. not bass wobbles...
