No offence, but is there any need for yet another forum about DnB?

I think it works better the way it is. I like this forum because there arent loads of users (Regulars at least) and its easier to keep tracks of what other people are doing and how peoples styles are changing. Theres much more of a community vibe when there are fewer users. Its like living in a small village where everybody knows each other rather than a big city where nobody talks to anybody. It also gives everybody something to slag off. The number of posts Ive seen that slag off DoA or some other forum is still as funny as ever.
I think it'd be really cool if it developed as far as different sites having recognisable styles. Being able to hear a track and say "that guy must post on www.random-drum-n-bass-site.com" would be cool. Im not saying that all the tunes should be the same style, just the same sound.
Having one massive data bass of tips etc would be cool, but it would take ages to sort the shit from the nuggets of truth. also, moderating and maintaning this "super-site" would be an absolute chore. I think this site works well because everybody knows the rules, and if some monkey bonehead turns up and starts stiring up shit it doesnt come down to the moderator to sort it out. All the users here take some sort of resposability for looking after the site, which means that TheChronic and the other moderators can concentrate on improving the site and writting tracks.

At first glance the interface sucks.
Hate sites with mainly black backround etc,
dont like the headings for threads i mean the text used.
it all looks crammed together an i really dont like moving around the site.
when replying to a post it pauses on a pointless screen, any wayz this may be just my preference.
this place pisses all over that basstalk site big time, thats just appereance alone!!!
will look into it a bit more anywayz as its about dnb an thats alwayz a good thing
laterz

Thats due to the fact they use phpBB, not my favorite forum. This site uses the imo far superior Woltlab Burning Board. It wasn't free though (allthoug there is a free version of it available)

yeah deffinitely. the fact that dnb.be doesn't try to be cool by appearance, just hate those white-letters-on-black forum pages where when I finish reading must adapt my eyes to the real world cause all I see are little white letters everywhere
