DJ MOS
After exploring a broad range of musical styles throughout the years, the Master Of Science finally became more and more entangled in Liquid Funk. During the years of honing his skills on the wheels of steel Mos developed his vision of the genre: diversity and evolution are essential components of Liquid Funk, whether it concerns the music, crowd, organisation or party.
Dj Mos plays Liquid Funk, the soulful & funky version of d&b, catered to an urban crowd and open minded party people in general. His sets are characterised by melody, intensity, variation and funk. ‘Music needs to affect the listener by evoking emotion, whether it’s pleasure, anguish or a feeling of energy’.
Dj Mos is/was resident dj at Blackout at Tivoli (Utrecht), Spektrum @ Patronaat (Haarlem), Reactiv @ Volta (Amsterdam), Future Research @ Occii (Amsterdam), Threshold @ Twstd (Amsterdam) and played at Dance4Life @ Mysteryland Festival 2004, Hostile Takeover @ Melkweg, (Amsterdam), PRSPCT @ Nighttown (Rotterdam), Optimum @ Subway (Aberdeen/Scotland), Drakstation @ Matrix (Prague / Czech Republic) and many more …
FUTURE RESEARCH
Formed in 2001, Future Research currently consists of dj’s Mos, Sektor and Lokal. Future Research has proved to be a steady force in the scene since its formation. The elements diversity and evolution are reflected in the performances of the Future Research dj’s and in the range of styles and line-ups represented at Future Research events throughout the years, with guest dj’s from around the world and every area of the Dutch scene representing their unique styles.
Current projects of the Future Research crew residents are Spektrum at Patronaat, Haarlem, featuring Liquid Funk and Breakz, Reactiv at Volta, Amsterdam in cooperation with the Phat Phonk crew featuring all styles of Drum & Bass, Turbulent at LVC Leiden covering all styles of Drum & Bass and the Liquid Funk and Intelligent night Melt at COC, Leiden. Various projects are in the making and Future Research members are active with various radio shows (both ether and internet based) and online magazines and websites.
