I think it'd be interesting to have a list of all the subgenres in jungle/drumnbass for everyones education, especially mine.

So everyone post a subgenre, a brief discription and a couple of examples of artists in that genre. I'll edit this post by addiing all the definitions below.

(P.S: by "subgenres" i mean jumpup, ragga, gabba, liquid, etc.)

er.... gabba and ragga are two completely different forms of music in their own right. not a lot to do with dnb other than than theyve been sampled.

jump up -
neurofunk - (wtf!?!?!)
clownstep -
liquid -

amongst others.....

to be honest its all a load of shit to me, just another way of marketing men trying to keep something selling by giving it some new packaging. its just dnb, you know we dont debate the in and outs of soul do we.....its just collectively known as soul despite the fact some of it has large stylistic differences...its still built around a traditional structure.

IDM is not the same as downtempo, so please don't mix it up.
