not sure if this is the place to post this but anywhos...made aloop that reminds me alot of ministry's track "flashback" from the album " the land of rape and honey" minus the lyrics of course
how would i get permission to use the lyrics within the track possibly i would like to use the origanal vocal track it really is a simple composition as the loop basically just loops through the whole track
edit by thechronic:
I removed the lyrics from this post, publishing lyrics on a website infringes copyright! more info

I've heard that a 30 second sample is legit as a soundtrack IF you mention it in the credits,
but that was a long time ago and prolly bs.

Are you speaking of the actual vocal, or the sample from Platoon that is looped through the entire song??

Here is my email to Judge Jules:
Me:
quote: |
I see that someone as already asked about using acapellas in their mixdowns, but what about sampling other peoples work, like taking a bassline or chopping up a synth and using it your own track, can you get into trouble for it? I know it's naughty but if the tune is pressed on a few white labels and given to mates or put online, could I find myself in trouble, even if I don't sell it? |
Judge Jules:

Hi there
You can do whatever you want for your own use. The only issue is when something is used for commercial release, but generally speaking people sample first and work out clearances when any problems arise.
Any further queries please don’t hesitate to ask...
Jules |
I've pretty much always known that as well. If you used a 'pella in your own tune then chances are your got if it's for your mates or you wanna stick it up online.
