Please check out my new track 'the darkest hour' and post your comments here!!!
ok this is something I've been working on, not finished but deffinitely something I'll still be working on.. with the help of your suggestions ofcourse.. sorry for not reviewing much, it's cause my internet connection glitched out, keeps disconnecting. not sure if this will upload correctly..
anyway, as the name says it's dark
some of you might see it similar with BSE stuff, this is harder though and I tried to make the drums sound live as much as I could
enjoy, please comment/review...

Wicked intro
whole thing kinda sneaks in...this is a strange groove you have going. Kind of like an avalanche. Don't know, could have been more driving. HEAVY bass-frequency-action here. melodies are cool as is the individual sounds. The drops are okay but aren't as good as they could have been. There is something overall strange with the sound here, can't really pinpoint exactly what, maybe it's just my ears that are tired from making beats all day. If not you need to check the levels.
This got loads of potential, the feeling is there.

Nice intro. Good quality. Really likin' this one, worth listening to. Nice rolly sound, good basses, nice beats.
Can't put my finger on anything except for some drops and things in structure lack that special feel..
Cheers, big up

cheers guys thanks for ya time..
yep, it sounds a bit strange, I didn't do much eq-ing, while being worried just to set things right as in not one to drown each other.. drops were a little hurried, not given much thought yet as this is almost a barebones preview..
keep 'em comments coming

allright , intro has got an amazing ambient that flows good toghether.
intro drums seems to be a bit too dry imo.
drop : massive , but i dunno about all the kickdrums , ghostkicks ... , the rest of your drums are great;
good fx work going on , as for the structure too.
good job.
finish em

mmm i liked it also although yeah it does sound very muffled...
i think it may be the synths are overpowered in the mix... maybe loose some low end on them or something. dunno. overall could sound heaps better i reckon.
cool shit htough man.

funny but I kinda like that muffled sound, for sure the overpowering synths issue will be resolved but the muffle in some form will remain.. gives a kinda live/unprogrammed feel IMO

Powerfull drum's man,..god dam,..
absolutly love the hi-hat stabz--->1:35,and.-->3:15.. be two,....Massive soundin tom's,...id have to agree on the muffled soundin shpeel but i think it work's on the drum's,..bloody funkin huge they are,...flippin insane bomb bass--->2:49,..sound's so dam phat along side them bloody huge drum's,..these drum's are the best d&B drum's ive heard in a while,..fucking love em,..you have to sort and finish this smasher,..it's so dam good that id maybe start over in the choice of lead synth sound's and pattern's,..what you got going with those fantastic drum's and that agressive bass is flippin brilliant,..current synth sound used takes away from the perfect agression and flow your drum's and bass have created,..especially those dam drum's,...well done Cynik this track's insane...

wikkid one!
about everything i could say was allready said before. i'd mix some more high ends into it .beats are damn fine but sometimes the bass masques allot of the sound.sounds good but there's allot of high place u didn't use so the mix sounds a bit "out of balance" it doesn't sound full. Some more high ends or a well placed little bell could do the trick i think
it's a very nice track, heaps of potential ,big ups

Nice intro - love the filter swells. Great filtering before the drop - great wide bass sound - deep!! The bass drum is really full also though and seems to be interfering with your bass sound - isolate them to their own distict frequency ranges with a muliband compressor perhaps. Great atmos going on. The drop out sounds are wicked - awesome filter work (what synth are you using for these sounds?) Some damn nice cymbals going on and hats are nice through out. Damn good track.

yep youre right about the kick/bass interferance, the kick did have too much low end. got it sorted out now (I hope) by an eq notch and using the sidechain compressor
