Please check out my new track 'Retroduction (smell my children mix)' and post your comments here!!!
Heres one Ive spent a few days on, figured Id post a rough mixdown to see if anyone had suggestions etc. I expect quite a few people wont like it, its very fast and has lots of distorted kicks.
I was trying to find a midway point between Breakcore, DnB, and Gabba, and I reakon this works pretty well. As I said its only a rough mixdown but any suggestions about mix and Eq are very welcome. Although I think it sounds a lot better when played loud! Cheers.

Nice one, really technical. Looks like some work has been put in it - don't feel any sound issues whilst
listening. But this track definetly requires some special mood to listen to it - sometimes I just can't take
that much of earfucking (no offense)

Hi Tek
You are a genius.
I think Id add some very big powerful bass stabs in amongst this lot and possibly try to increase the power of the bass drum and add a heavy metal type snare but that’s me. If U are in Brighton ever give me an email.
As you may see I am a producer now. But I still cant upload because Im so extremely/insanely busy; Im righting this in my work clothes.
this will be emailed to my girl fiend in GOA

Cheers guys, thanks for the feedback.
@dYzeaZe, Dont worry, I dont take any offence. I quite like to make stuff thats a bit of an earfuck, its bizarre though, the more you listen to a track the less of an earfuck it becomes, I wanna make something that remains manic no matter how many times you listen to it.
@Lightningflash, I think I might try the metal snare for the gabba sections as I think the snare drum in there at the moment doesnt quite come through enough, you should try to get producer rights, I'd like to hear your tracks. I'm hoping to get some gigs in brighton in the new year, been chatting to the people at the volks so I'll give you a shoot when Im gonna be heading down.
@Greyone, I like the idea of more vocal abuse, Ive been trying to find some cool samples but not been to succesful, found some tonight though so I might give them a try.
Cheers again guys, keep them coming.

Cheers again guys, I quite suprised actually because I didnt think people would like this one because of the Gabba, but I guess I was wrong.
@equipped, This one rolls along at 219 BPM, I guess because Ive listened to it so much it doesnt seem all that fast anymore. Im putting a demo together at the moment. If you PM me an address I'll send you one when its finished, you guys are in Canada arent you?
@Gilmmer, Thanks aswell dude. I really like the intro but it was the last thing I did, more of an after thought than anything else, there are some BP filtered drums in there which I ove though. Originally the track didnt have the Gabba section in it, but a friend suggested that the track sounded like it was supposed to go there and I think I agree. I do like the more DnB section after the Gabba though, I think it adds a nice twist to the track.

This is just crazy...Loving it. Drums are a bit loud, but that's about it. Everything else about the track is awesome. Maybe you should slow down a bit more often like you do on the outro.
GREAT!

I think that the drum volume is quite difficult to get right. The drums are what carries the tune along at the speed it is, everything else isnt so fast moving. Ive tried changing the drum volume and the track seems to loose a lot of its momentum, although I think Jimmy C is right about the hats in the Gabba section, Ill try bringing them down a little. Cheers for the reviews though everyone.

ain't got much to say bout this one but i deff here some v-snares influences in the drum rolls an they sound fuckin great
only thing on my mind is that the downtempo part could be longer

Yeah thanks dude, sorry I havent listened to your newest one yet. I'll try to do it in the week at some point. Yeah there probably is some V-snares influence going on, the problem is that as soon as you start doing something midway between DnB and Gabba, it starts to sound a bit Snaresy whatever you do. I guess its no bad thing though. If you mean the down tempo bit at the end, I was thinking about making it a bit longer, but this track is more for live use so It'll get mixed at that point anyway, but maybe if I decide to put it on a demo I'll make it longer. Thanks for the reviews everyone. Its nice that a lot of people have stated that its not there style but have enjoyed it anyway, thats always a good sign. Got a mate to drop this at a club the other day, sounded fat through the PA, quite a few people looked in agony which is always cool, although they all seemed about 35+, its weird how that works isnt it!

I don't believe in one but OH MY GOD...
this is fucking insane
from the (now it seems) a mellowy intro, I'm at 2:45 feels as on a full speed metal gig while on E..
now it's over.. and I don't know what just happened out my speakers lol. some kind of an electronic storm hit me
gabba part just whips it into a crazy ordeal here..
cheers.. sicko
