It was a girl who got me into dnb origionally, and I'm forever in her debt. I used to know tons of girls who listened to dnb nonstop when i lived in Philadelphia, but when I moved to the midwest i kinda stopped going to parties.
On a side note, I realized the other day that the song she played me ie the first dnb/jungle song i ever heard was Omni Trio's "living for the future" not renegade snares as i said in the "what got you into dnb thread". That song is incredible.

Never thought it was anything special - a girl that listens to DnB, though I have to admit, most of them are between 16 and 20, of my age (25) you hardly find any that appreciate DnB (with a few exceptions offcourse).

What I do encounter a lot is when talking with girls that listen to DnB that they are surprised that I listen to it too. Prolly cause we have mutual friends that don't listen to DnB, (other than Surya I don't really have friends that actively listen to DnB, few of them like going to DnB parties though)

Out in L.A. you will be lucky to find someone who even knows what Drum n Bass is......

For the few that understand the genre, they tend to be more on the intellectual side....

Drum n Bass is a fussion of all genres imo, that's why it's so versitile...

I disagree with more girls liking pop music then guys. Once you go outside of the dnb realm, you will find there are also a lot of guys who like pop music. Those are the kind of people that will say "yeah I like R'nB" when you tell them you are into drumnbass Tongue

A few months ago I went to a party with my girl that had 3 rooms: one with all kinds of music, one with techno, and one with dnb. We both like techno, but before that she was pretty much like Puke

dnb. On that party we spent some time in the dnb room, and after a few minutes I actually see her starting to shake it! Since then she told me she sometimes listens to a dnb mix or track, but still likes some of the pop and techno better.
