Please check out my new track 'Midnight Storm [Final]' and post your comments here!!!
It's finished... I think! The only problem I have is that I only have one system to audition it on, and it's a big system, so I'm not sure how the bass sounds on a smaller system yet. I will investigate this later...
Some really sick melody's/sound's,...my fave combo is>2:12
,..Nice gritty sound,... At >1:28 thing's go really dry,..maybe keep the dirty synth's or some different dirty's to add to the dryness,..You've got the everything working in this track,..Structure is really good man,..great listenin,.the bass is probably fine if you seqenced on a big system,..seem like it could use a boost on my speakers but everything ive produced on these speakers sound's bloody orrible,..so i can't really help but if something seem's like it need's a boost on my speak's it's probably fine,..know what i mean,..Drum's could do with some more edit's/maybe an amen or two,..seem a bit empty at part's,..but shit that's just an opinion really,..anyway,..quality soundin track Additive,..cheers..
+nice feeling int e start, i really dig that DX7 sorta FM precussion. it's jivin'
why is there a delay on the drums? that sound's really odd.
haaa that synth line si so acidic. nice rhythem, the bassline is a bit dead though, or maybe the drums are too small. it's empty and hallow. the synth leaves a lot of freq room, and the bassline has a low pass on it. there's room for vocals or a lead.

I'm a photographer not a musician but everyone can have an interpretation or opinion and mine is as follows: A fresh, pleasant background, inducing a feeling of optimism lays a nice foundation for the later more aggressive components. A catchy drum beat joins in followed by a 'voice' which at first gradually emerges then takes over dominantly with a great dance phrase with a really expressive movement. Next, the voice repeatedly asks the dancer or listener a mysterious question. So the the track has a developing structure with feeling and expression and involves the participant not only physically in its movement but also intellectually with its insistent probing question. More than just a track with beat, aDDiTive has excecuted a thoughtful work worthy of his artistry and expertise.
Sounding good! Real nice track, not much more to say really, only thing that could be done if you're going to work more on it,is to add details. Not really necessary but there are parts when it feels a bit repetative, but never for long though.
Beat before the break has a nice flow to it, not too fond of the pitch-changes just before break.
Main synth a bit too loud in comparison to beats and sub.
After the drop i miss a more balanced/main beat. It's the same one as before the drop.
All the different melodic elements fit together (musically, not necessarily in voume), resulting in a clear chorus/verse structure... but.. maybe you can try to elaborate these seperate parts a bit more (dunno, underlying synth/aural carpet underneath chorus and another one in the verses)
End of the ong breaks down kinda weird.
And maybe a bit of crossfading in the techy samples/lines/synths, it's a bit robotic chop-chop.
Put that soul of yours into it!

Many thanks again for reviews! I agree with the main melody being too loud. It's hard when you are auditioning only on one system.
Unless you realy, realy know that system

The trouble I have with knowing this system is that the system is probably too big to produce on. I need some smaller balanced studio monitors instead of ridiculous club system. Although most things sound great loud on this, sometimes you miss the intricacies of quality that you can hear balanced loads better on a smaller system.
