Please check out my new track 'Soft Comforts 2' and post your comments here!!!

More hard core kind of stuff. It is very difforent then the origonal but using a bit of the same instruments and sounds. If anyone at all at the forum liked the first then hopefuly the second.

I tried to make song strucutre and layers of stuff more harmonious but this is the best i can do and i dont make songs the way that you guys do so this is it, like it or not.

Confused
You are one of those who haven't read the rules of the site, aren't you? And if you have, then you've
definetly skipped the "upload only once a week please" part. I'm not hating on you now, but rules are made
for purposes mate, didn't you ever think of that?
Confused

Don't like the sounding of this one, too reverby and echoey. The default FL beat makes it worse, and the
sub line could be changed a bit. You have alot of great elements and techniques, but you don't put them
together to form something solid, everything sounds a bit random and often out-of-place and harmony.

I'd boost the beats a bit too and turn the sub down a little.

Cheers anyways Bigup don't get mad.

well then, yah...
i wont upload no more sorry, ill give it a rest for a while.
its just been so long and i liked to get back in action.

i dont have my head phones no more so i cant master things the same, and my sub was distorted a bit so that i could hear it right on my normal speekers.

but... even if you don want me uploadin 24/7 dont mean im outa steam. ill just make sample packs for the downloads page instead. well see if thechronic likes the "dist_beats1.zip" and he HAS to accept "digital_beats1.zip" once its done, and then ill make more shiz then beats to. am gunnu make a sampl request thread at the producers board.

thanks 4 sayin that ur not hateing on me, cause some people take offence fast because of getting shit alot from bitchez in their livez. Am still tryin to get over a bit of the old time shitz.
Cool peace homiez, will keep focus on putting it togeather more harmonicly next time.

HEY! This was pretty neat. Lots of excellent sounds in here, cool bass, cool drums. What can I say, this rocks. I have to agree with dyzeaze though, it's a little to much reverberation going on here, but apart from that it's dope!

Looking forward to hearing more from you. Keep it up!

Really like the guitar used, gives a chemical breaks feel to the tune. Lots of great sounds and hits in there, don't like the dark distorted bassline at the start, tune sounds better once you bring it out at around 1:39. Drums could use a little boost, too much reverb on the intro, try bringing it down and adding a double delay, may get the effect you are after with a cleaner sound. Nice melody, although not big on the synth sounds used.

Some interesting ideas, I would work a little on the continuity of the sounds, to blend a little more, and bring more depth to the track.

Look forward to hearing more.

Hmm, let's see what kind of baby you made this time... Wink

wow, nice synths at the begining. And the hihats are great.
The sound is a bit muddy, imo.
The bass is danceable fo sure.

You have to work on yer levels. Those guitar sounds are awesome. And yes, synths can always out-do guitars) Nice experiment you have here.

Wow, what a beat at 02:07! You made a nice mix of sounds and synths, getting a bit aggressive now... I juz luv experiments! Bigup
I do some Aphex Twin experiment stuff, this rocks too.

Yeah, send the zip file. Look at my sig for info. And upload the zip file in the ftp, that space is ment for collaborating! Bigup

8/10
9/10 for experimenting Bigup
and
6/10 for sound quality (too muddy)

WRONGWRONGWRONGWRONG! The guitar is the king of all instruments, especially with a midi pickup. Big Grin

Anyway, on to the reveiw, Likeing the intro sounds, I think you should let it build up a bit before you drop the drums in. The bass sound is a little weak, Sounds a bit naff compared to the rest of the tune. I think the snare could be a little stronger, the little rushes on the kicks are cool though. The guitar is cool as in the last version, Its gotta be one of the best sounding guitar imitations ive heard in a long while. Nicely done, I still think it would be better if it was real though.
It sounds a little bland at 1:36 for a while, Some SFx would be cool.
I like the section at 2:00 though. Rythms are nice, quite unusal aswell so nice one. The drop could be better though, and this section shouldve gone for a while longer, possibly a different bass sound too. Im a bit unsure about the section starting at 2:30, weird bass sound, kinda cool though. I think it sounds a little bare again though. It sounds to me like you spend a lot more time on some sections than you do on others. it gives the tune a slightly un balanced feel.
Its strange, its got happy. Odd, but wht not.
My only real critism would be the drums, theyre sounding a little week and the sounds arent that great. Some of the fills are really good, but the kick isnt that punchy and snares isnt very cracky, the ride cymbal gets a bit annoying after a while aswell.
I do like this though, I really like the fact that your doing your own thing, so many tunes sound very safe, not trying to do anything new and stick to the good old formulas, which in my eyes could be the death of DnB. Thats why I prefer the different and experimental stuff. People who are trying to breath new life into a genre that sometimes borders on monotonus. Youre doing it well too. Its not just unlistenable drivvle which a lot of experimental stuff tends to be, your stuff is friendlier but still qwerky enough to be definately different. I hope you do more to this one, because I still feel that there are spaces to be filled, a couple places could do with some ambiance to keep them from sounding too bare, I think that some of the drum samples could do with a bit of beefing up or layering, and the bass could definately use more grunt. But overal Im liking this a lot. Nice one!
