i believe that a person shouldnt hide anything.
because that wont help them out.
if you ignore your problems, then they wont disapear by themselves.
so the i think i need to take on all of my lifes problems,

Also ive comprehended a large portion of summaries of the stoics,

So, once you get to the ultimet level of vanity,
you are either dead, or realize that it was nothing,
and i will save you all alot of time here and now,
if you wish to save time, by putting eternal life and the will for it above your own temporary emotions, i will simply tell you that love is higher then pleasure or knowlage.

IMO religeon is an age old idea that has got way way way out of hand. Prehaps originaly it was just a set of guidlines on how to be a good person so you'd live a happy life. But peoples naiivety is taken advantage of by someone who sees an oppertunity to gain power and money. Even the ancient religeons of the Aztecs and Incas.... You must ALL worship ........., he is all powerful and knows everything, YOU cannot see him, only I can see him. You should give offereings to ME and Ill pass them on for you. You MUST dedicate your life to me... erm I mean him.. otherwise he will smite thee down!!! All religeon stemmed from is opertunists who saw a chance to bend peoples will through fear and empty threats. A modern day example of this might be the patriot act in america. Its like when the police drive past you and, although you dont have any thing on you, you still shit yourself. Its paronoia mungering. The problem arises when there are people who are so mortified but the fact that they are soley responsable for their own lives, that they seek some sort of solice. Religeon offeres that. If your real good for your entire life and dedicate everything to God. then when you die you'll go to heaven/find enlightenment/be freed from the cycle of reincarnation. I think the easiest comparisons can be made with Santa Clause. Telling your kids that Santa is watching them. And if theyre bad they wont get presents. But if theyre good children all year round, they'll get presents. We all know that Santa isnt real, yet we insist on telling our kids that he is because it means we have a little threat to make evry time that they miss behave.
Im not saying religeon is a bad thing, on the contrary, I think that religeon is responsable for a lot of good things, (aswell as a lot of bad) however Id argue thatpeople use it as an excuse for what is no more than human nature. Take the crusades. People going through europe to spread the word of god, while just happening to take over half of europe while they where at it, purely co-incidental?
IMO religeon is NOT a belief, but an idea. Some nice stories with moral guidlines. its no more than some suggestions on how to live your life. The empty threat about eternal damnation, come from peopole who found opertunities for power. Is it coincidence that most land in the UK was owned by the CofE? When weathly land owners where dying, the church would send preists to their death beds whod try to persuade them that all their sins would be pardoned if they gave their land to the church instead of the crown. Do you think its co-incidental that the catholic chuch owns millions of pounds of art and statues, and is one of the richest COMPANIES in europe?
The only religeon I follow is my own gut instinct. We all know when weve done wrong, and we all know what is wrong. If you redeam your self, you dont have to live with the guilt until you die. (Which is where youre put into the ground and rot!! ) The only god I believe in is the one in my head, my conscience. The whole middle man thing is funny. but Im happy to be responsable for myself. If Im sucesful with my ambitions its down to my own hard fucking graft. Not some god deciding in his all meciful heart to grant me a bit of happiness.

while there's nothing wrong with belief in god, I can't but detest any type of religion. catholicism is the finest example of the old paradox: the priests preach that materialism is bad, that it's "the road to hell" etc. yet, in time the catholic church has proven that it's the oldest most dollar-hungry company in the world... every religion is itself's contradiction
