Yeh I used to puff the trees when producin
But Ive found it to be counterproductive in my case

Id be there 4 hours on a break
& cos I was stoned at the time it sounded so good.

Then Id wake up in the morning listen back and cringe
at the load of kak I made the night before.

I think the weed just fools your ears into a false sense of security
Cos your senses are hightened most things will sound and feel good at the time,
(especially when sex is involved!!)

I think if you puff in moderation thats cool
I've learnt where to draw the line now - know your limits
Theres a time and a place for everything

And I don't work as disciplined when I toke
Get lazy and complacent

when i produce i try to be sober ( sometimes litlle bit stoned - but that´s not the best inspiration...)

when i make party i used to take something ( hm,.... so i´d recommend E , speed and coca and i´d never do some halo stuff like shroomies or something;trust me) but now i just drink and smoke good ol´ weed.....

and cigarettes.......

so i´d say:

SEX,DRUGS and Drum and Bass ... Big Grin

(i´m an idiot,i know)

when i produce stoned all my power of discernment goes. i think every piece of shit i make is heavy and spend hours just listening to sounds and searching for the right button. its good fun, but it doesnt exactly help my cause in the long run Big Grin

offtopic but. i read that in a scientific magazine like ten years ago.
they did inject drugs into the spider (they're scientifics hey, they know their shit). they tried it with cafeïne, cocaïne, marijuana and lsd, in order to make comparisons and so.
the result on the way the spider spins its web tells you a lot about the way the drug affects your brain.

now it's probably the same about producing..
i think you'd better just say sober Wink

Welll i used to smoke ALLLOTTTT of ganja and at venues i used to take alot of E's but now im clean of all that & yea it does affect your productions in a seriously damaging way, sounds good at the time but not in the mornin lol. As for the here and now i just have a bit of coke from time to time and i find my productions on that are just as damaging.

But id say im pretty much clean of everything except the odd line and the odd 1000 cans of beer a week Tongue

alcohol never really helped me while producing, same goes for coke.

weed for producing is just fine if you are stoned,it is the famous "morning after" - you listen to things you have done stoned and (so,for me) then you clap yourself and erase it immediately....

i´d do a lot more drugs if i wouldn´t know drug damaged people (between 17 and 22) - sometimes it is ok,but don´t overrate yourself,life is too long and (sometimes) too beautiful for drugs. (man,sounds like my mum....)

I occasionaly produce when im stoned but not very often... Im not normally that productive Tongue

I smoke weed & drink beer most weekends & drink cups of coffee every day but thats my lot.

I've done other stuff in the past (E, speed, acid, K, coke) but not anymore.

It fucks with your head after a while
