About the Jamaican things
(Inspired by Danilo)
I-HEY!!!
Let's talk about the TRUTH a little.
"Raggamuffin and also Whiteman!!!"-does this sound rasistic?
………………………………………………… (I leave some time for you to think about it :-)
What if I tell you that this was said by a white man (please excuse me for this labeling, but I'm forced to do so) which declares himself as a respector and promotor of the "rasta culture" in Macedonia??? Does that sound strange to you? It does to me way too much. I really had enough from all kinds of exorcists that bang the walls with their heads so that they can "exterminate the demons", and what they still didn't get is that they should start from their own.
"The colour of the skin is as important as the colour of the eyes" - Bob Marley
I think that further explanations are not neccesary. But still, there are people that didn't understand a single word from what Marley tries to convey. That's not shameful. It is shameful the fact that these people think that they are the "true" and the "only" real comprehendors of Marley's messages. These people are the same that consider themselves "chosen" to spread about a culture, a philosophy, a movement. "Fire de a Mus Mus tail, him tink a cool breeze". Do you get it why nothing comes out of our hands now?
Let make this clear: I don't write this stuff so I can fire anyone up, but when someone gets over the line and leads others to "wrong thoughts" intiutively I receive a need to scream, to be heard, to fight against the injustice.
It is kinda hard to have a listen to somebody that throws a tantrum against Babylon, when he himself utilises the same babylonic dictature. "I am God, I know the most from the Reggae culture, and you are mere mortal men which I see with scorn". Not a single R from Rasta. Where is the teaching, where is the positivity, where is the goodness, where is the love..... and the respekt? Hahaha... Should I bring up the unity? Ugh, nasty theme.
The Rasta philosophy is based on the UNITY!!! Let me repeat, the UNITY!! ONENESS!!! And this is, at the moment, for us just a noun. It shouldn't be like this! It's easy, you just need to rightfully present and give an example to those that want to learn something from this subject. And there exist a fertile land. You can see by yourself how "in" is today to be having dreads, to wear a red-yellow-green clamp on your hand and dream about Jamaica. Let's use that in a possitive manner. Let's give an example to the younger ones, let's steer them, use the current popularity of the Raggae music to present their righteous dogmas and beliefs. And not to make a laugh from them, to speak how "fake" they are and how they know nothing about this. If nothing else, at least this message will be received. And the one that will find himself in it, will become the real. The one that will not find himself there, will hear its true value. So we can have a boost in every way. But, as long as our promoters of this culture "eat" themselves, have competitions who's "more reggae" and speak behind the back of each other, there will be nothing else except to throw a few curses at them in this text, and to recommend to relisten their reggae collection they have at home, but this time with greater carefulness and with open hearts.
I am really glad when I see younger guys and girls which comprehended the UNITY moment by themselves, but they can't do this only by their own. Let's steer them. And how can we do that, except with a personal example.
UNITY can be only achieved by giving RESPEKT!!! So, to GIVE and not to ASK, as one ciggaretes ad board in Skopje had text on it. The respekt cannot be asked, you can get it with giving it to others previously. Do to others what you want to be done on you. Simple philosophy. When all are respekted, all are equal and all are content. Let's kill the macedonian "look at this guy, he's totally fake". It is so stupid to throw bad words on the raggae parties that are held here, and not do anything on this subject. You understand what I'm trying to say? Someone tried to make something. Respekt that! If you consider that it shouldn't be like that, try and make something better. Or, at least, don't criticise the ones that made an effort. That's the minimum. IF you respekt the stuff that someone else tried to achieve, if you make an effort to make it better, the quality of the parties will grow up. Of course, the argumented critique is always accepted and gives a progress, but malicious and frustrated comments lead us in the abyss and far away from the rasta ideal "yoy too red eye". Don't disregard the RESPEKT!!! It should not be false one. And to be real, you should have the virtue to recognize the achievement and the contributions of others. So, you should have a wide-open heart, to know how to LOVE!!! You heart must be guided by LOVE to yourself, to others, to the music, to the life, justice, positivity, the goodness, the happiness, the marijuana...
Just feel the vibe!
"Me come uah fi drink ,ilk, me no come uah fi count cow!"
Footnote: Maybe you wonder why this kind of text on a drum and bass site.
I will explain this in the next text, and till then have a listen to Positive Vibes - Dou Infernale.

Its difficult to appreciate that everybody has a different opinion and view point, but if unity cannot be acceived in a small town like where I live. Then surely its impossible for world wide unity. The fundamental problem is that everybody is different. Some Rastafarians may be homophobic, but then some homosexuals might be racist. It would be unfair to assume that every one conforms to a particular asumption that youve made.
Admitadly there are some racist artist in all genres, however it is their opinion and you dont have to agree, or even listen to it. For me the fundamental point with lyricals, like any art form, is that it is open to interpretation. Someone may take the wrong message from something, but thats is their view on it, no more, no less.
I would love for unity amongst people to be a reallity, but its not gonna hapen because of simple human nature. If everyone is treated the same and acted the same, then individuallity would regress into conformity, and no-one whats to thought of as "normal".
Some people (myself included), are proud for being different because it entitles you to opinions which others do not have. I am neither racist or homophobic, but I like to think I have a right to express any opinions I have. After all, it is the mixture of opinions, standpoints, Love and hate, which make up the human race. Im not gonna agree with all of it. But Im certainly not going to say that someone is wrong on something, because it is their interpretation. As the saying goes, I might not agree with what you say, But I'll fight to the death to defend your right to say it.

the homophobic thing with rastafarianism is not literally about setting fire to gay people. personally i think homosexuality is not really a natural act, but you know, each to their own......doesnt make no difference to me. rastafarianism is based upon the ethiopian church bible......of course they think its wrong!!!! but its ignorant peoples interpretations of alleged rasta musicians preachings that cause the problems....half of these people arent rastas anyway....they still eat maccy Ds.
fuck it.
im gonna be a jedi
