As you can see our site used to be really less popular than DOA, but since 6 months we are rivalling and sometimes even surpassing DOA!
Next target: dnba!

forum-wise this is soo much better.
even tho we don't get signed producers sitting down and having question sessions with us...way too many of doa's threads are nonsense crap...nothing really seems to be divided into serious sections over there. our site is very well organized and people think about how much they really need to make a thread before they do.
altho the samples you can find in there sorta kick our samples's asses. so be it.

But I also agree that it's nice to be seen... anyway, folks at DOA are all high-in-clouds fuckin moronic show offs...
we're on a similiar level all here...
It is known that systems that have steady growth (such as dnb.be) will eventually overpass systems that have high start but are not able to maintain the growth as time comes.

Yeah thats cool. Maybe some DnB.be merchandise would be cool, I wouldnt mind having a T-shirt. I saw a thread about then a while ago but I dont know if anything happened. I wouldnt mind having a new mousemat either, as my MI one is too small. Perhaps the site could be expanded too, How about a section for non DnB tunes? I dont know what everyone else is like but I dont just make DnB tunes and it would be nice to get opinions on them too, especially considering that most people will have heard your tunes already and you can trust them to give honest opinions.

i thiunk the steady rate of increase in people that comes here is really because on the other site there isnt much knowlegde about drum and bass production... well atleast i think so... plus this site does have an appealing look... its both good and bad this increase in people...
i mean more people more knowlegde...
but yeah mabe some lame people join, more people like me.. lol

If you talk about the forums i don't believe that, first of the doa-forum is bigger then dnba's, has more users registered and more users online on average, check doa when the americans are online and you will easily see 2 to 3000 'registered' people online on there at the same time, dnba can't compete because its mostly a uk-forum. I frequent both sites and forums there and there is a difference. If you talk about the site in general dnba is probably bigger.
And i don't think this site can compete with either of them.

Yeah but Alexa doesn't judge the ranking of a site on the number of visitors, but on the 'exposure' a site gets across the internet. ao how much it is talked about on other sites, how many new people discover it every day etc.
Being ranked in the top 200000 sites worldwide is quite an accomplishment I think because we really only apply to producers of an underground electronic music style.

I think we should not get defensive or offensive on any matter, because if we do we can only make things worse. DOA has renomee, and dnba also, but this is the ONLY site where people are PURELY non-profit guided, and has this popularity.
And unlike DOA, people here are FRIENDLY.
