Na het grote succes van Pimp My Ride is er nu een Nederlandse variant: Pimp My Room. In Pimp My Room ondergaan kamers van jongens en meiden een complete metamorfose.
Het gaat hier niet om een standaard verandering. Alle taboes op het gebied van de geijkte interieurprogramma’s worden doorbroken. Er wordt ‘gepimpt’ met als doel de kamer compleet af te stemmen op de unieke levensbehoeftes van de kandidaten. Echter, deze persoonlijke doelen worden (ongevraagd) totaal over de top uitvergroot. De kandidaat wordt daardoor op een heftige manier geconfronteerd met wie hij werkelijk is en wat hij werkelijk wil. De gevolgen kunnen leiden tot hilarische en soms ook pijnlijke momenten. Burgerlijkheid en ‘hoe het hoort’ zijn uit den boze. Dus geen keuken als je toch nooit kookt, een gymzaalvloer als je graag een balletje trapt en een megakoelkast geïntegreerd in je loungebank als je voldoende bier binnen handbereik wilt hebben. Weg met conventionele woontradities!

why did almost all dnb in the program get replaced by techno?
there like 30 second in total dnb, all the other music is 
Room was quite cliche, imo, all stuff that they done has been done before..
And would you be happy if they replaced ur technics 1210's by some plastic- & cheaplooking numark? I wouldnt..
