This is a remix of Sometimes (Aphrodite) for an Acid Planet remix contest. (Vocals had to be included for the contest). Check the second drop.

Both a stream and MP3 version are available at the acid planet link below.

**There is a new version with a new synth line, a few new edits and a more symmetrical structure - but I think you need to log on at acid planet and download the MP3 to hear it.

drums are wicked! wouldnt ever get boring.. cool how you pan your drums, cant get that working properly in battery Mad

Not sure - just assumed since it was a remix that we had to use something that would make the track recognizable as a version of the original. (This is the first time I've ever remixed a track).

,..Amen's sound really rough at,..shit,. Frown

.can't see were track's at,...overall sound does need some more Eqewin,... Sound's pumpin out with some serious fuzz,..sick tune and sick ideas just some Eq issues to be delt with,..cheer's for the treat Nosrac,..second drop sound huge,.. Pleased

What a mix man, second drop is a jaw dropper.

I fiddled around with that remix too but it just got boring, yours does the trick!
The intro is truely sinister. Real suspenseful. Love the drop too. Main riff sounds like it could use a hi/mid synth to accompany the bassline but full enough without it. The "wow" bass part of the main riff seems like it could be louder and more aggressive sounding.
Everything after the drop and mainline sounds good too, keeps it rollin'.

One concern though, the vocals at times kinda confused me cuz of the order they're in... prolly done on purpose, but it'd just make it a bit catchy-er in my opinion.

Ey there son,...the fuzzy distortion seem's to be from your main synth,...when it's layered with the amen's n shit,...thing's start blarring...The synth sound naturally has a fuzzy bassy dist on it so maybe bring the amen's down a wee bit and also bring the synth down a bit,...but maybe only bring the synth down half way through the track,.. when everything drop's with it,...Maintaning the impact it has at the intro,..Fucking with the volume should get that synth to sit nicley in the mix,..You could also mess with some eq but i know fuck all about that,..learning though,..anypoo,... i'll get to work on some samples this week son,..i promis,...there's sooo many god dam sound's to choose from with all them patch pack's i downloaded but im slowly getting familar with the phat-ass sound's in each phat-ass pack!!,..
Been so bizzie latley so i appologize for not gettin you some samples earlier,..well get right to it son...cheerse.... Bigup

thanks for the update. Check the latest at the ap link - I'll probably put an instrumental (scratch those annoying rnb vocals I tried to hide behind a dark shoud of edits) with plenty of new edits and some filter work on the reece sounds (which I avoided since they seemed to interfere with the vocals as soon as they spiked above about 1500hz)

,..listening now,...that bass still sound's like it's distorting thing's but it might be my speakers,...anyone els hear this,... Confused

......this be a flippin monster of a re-mix/tune man,..i wish i had the know how on what to tell you in regard's to the bass,...this re-mix is deffinetily my fav,...good luck with the contest!! Spliff
