      indeed,
have a look around this site...lot's of usefull stuff.

Might wanna make yr questions a bit more specific.....
what platform are u on (mac/pc)....are you using some progg already ?

If yr an absolute beginner, might wanna check out fruity or reason....those are not to complex proggs (imo he)wich will not blow u away with all it's features (cubase or logic will).
You'll get something going fast with these and then just take it from there....experimentation is the key to progression (imo).

Hey Sorry for the topic in the wrong section

daze_DND

Im on a pc, and at the moment have not touched any sort of porgram. Is reason or fruity, a prog that does not require a keyboard/external instruments. I take it you can download a trial version of the above programs?

Thanks for your help

Both of them dont need it, but i've expierenced Fruity to be more easy, and afterwards you can add extra instruments, wich aint as easy in Reason as it is in Fruity.
And u can do "type to keyboard" wich turns ur regular qwerty or azerty keyboar into a musical instrument

And Fruity (which is, more properly called Fruity Loops Studio) is getting professional quickly. There are enormeous differences between all the versions (starting from version 1 to version 5.1 which is available today).

Here is a link to the official FL Studio page:

http://www.flstudio.com/

You have a downloadable demo overthere, try it out.

Anyway, welcome and I hope you will stay here long...

Sorry to be pedantic but its proper name is FLstudio and its current version is 5.0.2c. I've got to agree with you that the newest version is good though, much better than Reason and its cheaper.

But to be honest I've been using FL for years now but if I was starting again today I wouldn't bother with FL or Reason, I'd get a copy of Ableton Live and learn that. I've been messing about with it for a few days now and its really good, so good that I don't think I'll be using FL again.

Very VERY subjective. I've seen folks dig dilinja style basses by transforming their kid synthetizer on hand.
