BIO's :
EASY

Easy started out as a classically trained guitarist entering music academy at the age of 10. He got into electronic music in 95, heavily influenced by compilations such as ‘I love FUSE’, the French F-Communications artists but also Squarepusher, Autechre, Carl Craig and many more.
He started dj-ing himself by 97, at first concentrating on the Detroit techno style, later progressing into the more soulful underground deep house, which he then put all his effort into. House music influences include Lance DeSardi, JT Donaldson and Moodymann to name but a few. Some of the first club encounters with drum and bass include Grooverider’s set in 97 at 10 Days of Techno, and the time when Fuse Club’s ‘Motion Room’ was reserved for dnb.
He met Sike at school and they began fiddling about with electronic music production. Experimenting with different genres at first but then moving steadily in the dnb direction. After a while they started playing out together and this later led to Easy giving up house music and fully
concentrating on drum and bass by the end of 2000.
In 2001, Easy joined the breakz.be team and together they were responsible for creating and running the first and largest Belgian dnb community website worthy of that name.
After a year he decided to call it quits and joined Woodcarver and Sike in the freshly founded Orka collective. It became clear right away that the 3 of them were on the same musical wavelength, striving to reintroduce the funk and soul influences that have been so instrumental in the development of modern day drum and bass, but who are unfortunately understated in today’s predominant style.
Easy’s mixing style reflects some of the dj’s that have influenced him over the years:
‘When I play out I want people to be entertained, so I try to mix fast, keep it running and make it harmonically sound so you really get the impression of listening to one big ever changing tune. People like Derrick May have been really influential for me when it comes to that. People who say that dj-ing isn’t creative haven’t really understood much of it if you ask me. For me its all about taking 2 tunes and turning them into something new.’
His track selection could be called ‘future soul music’, ranging from minimalistic bass-ridden rollers to sexy vocal tunes, from harder to softer stuff but always funky and soulful - locked in a solid groove.
Together with Sike or alone, Easy has performed alongside several international artists of the likes of Calibre, Mathematics, Dj Flight, SP:MC, Dj Jubei, D-kay, MC Eksman, Souljah, Terry T & Demolition Man, at venues such as Silo, Who’s Who’s Land, Tour & Taxis, MusiCafé and Rumba. Radio appearances include a residency at the Boups.com live stream, the Unrezt show on radio Panik, several guest slots for the Orka radio show on FmBssl and a performance on STUBRU’s Switch.
ECHO VIRUS

Echo Virus seriously started mixing in 1998 after playing around with turntables since '93. Back then he played techno under the moniker DJ Bassyard. The following 6 years, he played on several small and bigger parties. During that period EV also followed drum & bass from the sidelines.
Over the years techno evolved to something he couldn't identify himself with anymore, so at the end of 2003 he decided it was time to switch to drum & bass!
After buying a LOT of records and sharpening his DJ skillz in 2004, he was totally ready to come out. If you need proof, check his booking list!!
Depending on the mood, his styles ranges from techy up-tempo stuff to dark and raw floors mashers! On regular occasions you can find him mixing back to back with Tito or Darkslide... Any of these combinations are guaranteed dance floor explosions!!
Make sure you check him out!
TITO

Tito has always been hanging around in the underground scene.. When he was 16 he started going out to concerts and hardcore shows... It was a great time but in the year 2001 he attended a drum n bass party for the first time. That was the day the dnb-virus bit him. Fast and heavy drumlines with a furious bass... this is it, he thought!
In August 2002 he bought two Technics mk1200 and a Numark mixer. He likes to mix the harder dnb genre but I also switch over to more melodic tunes. It depends on how he’s feeling that day..
Since 2004 he’s putting his first steps into producing, but most of the time you can find him behind the decks.
ADDICTED KRU

Addicted kru is a collective of 2 well talented Dj’s. These Leuven / BXL based guys are the residents and organisers of the ASSAULT - nights. Their goal is to push the dnb scene in Leuven a bit further. They bring a colourful blend of drum n bass. Their set always differs nicely and doesn’t stop at the bounders of a sub genre. If it sounds great they‘ll bring it for you. These upcoming talents sure know how to work the decks and will serve the crowd a nice set every time. Don’t miss out on them!
BASSIX

Bassix is a well-known local from Leuven. He spins @ numerous parties in and around the city. His style differs every time and always keeps the crowd going. This Dj is one to watch in the future as he combines hip-hop techniques with drum n bass mixing.
This time he will warm up the place properly, so come urly !
Don’t miss out mister Bassix cause he will certainly sweep you off your feet with his latsest dance floor selection…
