It's a flash tool, most stuff is vector based, meaning it doesn't use up too much bandwidth...

Or your connection. I have 512 kbps connection, and is moderate.
We (me and Surya) analyzed the chat and found out that it takes TOO MUCH bandwith, so users with limits - beware!!
As for thechronic, I suggest you change it to something that eats up less bandwith and is faster. Like this one: freejavachat
We will have better results from it.

Yeah, I was online on the chat for 2 days, and I had an upload of 100MB a day, due to the chat (did't download anything special, just sufed the usual sites) and I went over my upload limit due to this. I was on narrowband and had to buy extra bandwidth.
So in the long run, this isn't the best option imo. I'd like to be online a lot, to help people if needed, but I can't with this chatroom.

yrea...it seems a bit un necissarry...
everyone on this site has either aim or msn...if you wanna chat...then chat...why run it through the site? and pay money or wahtever..
seems like an easy decision to me...

Jikes I already spent half a night and half a day on it, you guys are not easily satisfied
If the chat attracts lots of people I might change it to something a bit faster, if not it's not worth the effort

I prefer normal IRC on a normal irc-network (efnet/dalnet/kreynet/quakenet/... doesn't matter) - I'm online 24/7 there anyway.

wow, actually, im not gonna follow everyone elses opinions on this. i like it. the whole concept anyways. i mean think about it, not everyone has AIm, or MSN, or yahoo, etc. so this could be of good use also. could bring in alot of people too if guests are allowed. sound slike it would work good for things like say you and another person are checkin out the same tune, you could talk back and forth about the tune, why not, i mean you'r eboth already on this site, might as well make use of it. i dunno, again, im not gonna just jump on with everyone elses comments about it being pointless, as it can serve alot of good purposes. just might take some time for it to catch on like it should. good job and idea....
