OK OK OK...now iom fully aware that there is another thread on this somehwere...but it was stated before that Ram was a jump up label, and i had some strong arguement/feelings about the idea of that Ram would be called a Jump up label... but now lets look at the facts...
All of the releases in teh past 6 mnths have been nothing BUT jump up...subfocus, moving fusion, and even teh new crazy ass jazzfreak track...like...wtf is going on...is this pissing off anyone else...cause i used to be a huge fan of the label, but im tired of these fucking labels conforming to these lil "fads" trance is in teh same shit...everyone is producing shit with these really 80's sounding synths...but people love it...what is going on...

Not too fond of it either. And the worst thing is: DJ's rinse these plates A LOT and DURING A LONG PERIOD, while everyone is bored with the tracks after the 3rd time

Hmmmm? Just some party music in my opinion. Nothin to get upset over. Don't consider any of those tunes to be "jump up."

the point to the thread is to point out that a dark tech label has changed to a jump up label because of marketing and fads...teh same as commercial music... dumbass

ram have never been a 'dark' label, techy maybe, though they have released jump-up sounding tunes in the 90s too and they have always been a mainstream dnb-label, plus i wouldn't even call them a jump-up label now either.
Anyway they'll put out whatever they want, if i like it i'll buy it, if not i won't... idiot |
then youre forgeting many of the tracks they released, sex drive by moving fusion is one, the map on the screamer ep...all dark tracks...when teh label first launched mainstream dnb or not, they had a specific style...it has changed...but if you dont all xray and shit liek that jump up, then jump up doesnt exist within dnb, but i assure you..it does...

Subfocus is no jump-up. Give a listen to soundguy..any jump-up? no. Xray might not be very dark, it aint jump-up either.
It's like Dillinja, it aint hard-as-fuck-me-heavy-goddam-im-so-scared-techstep but it aint jump-up either.

So, in the end it just depends on your defenition of jump up. To me it's closer to jump up than to dark shit (yeah, I mean dark, not hard, which it's VERY obviously not).
Lets just call it anthem-DnB, a style which I've hated even before it existed

dillinja is bass heavy but most of his songs have cheesy synth lines which define jump up from other tunes....so id call dillinja jump up...and xray is deffintiely a jump up tune...if its not i dunno what is...

xray isnt a bad tune...i own it...but its jump up...and it jsut aggrivates me that the label which conforms to market when its suppose to be "underground"...there was a general purpose behind this thread and i think surya was the only one whos recognized it...

X ray aint no jumpup but has the same 'slow' speed , I hate it .
when you listen to it 2 or 3 times it sucks like a vacuumcleaner
lame synth , no dynamic range movement and too mainstream you know...
Most dnb dj's are playing those high-synth-Uk stuff on parties.
Time for producers to change all that.
beginning right now.
word.
