Please check out my new track 'Nightmares of Filling the Tub with Blood (edit 1)' and post your comments here!!!
still editing this track, I found over 10 diff. things I want to fix including changing the outro dramaticly and fixing the drums volume, and chopping them a little more. I am having a little trouble getting the cymbals to sound perfect, I faded them a little, there might be somthing else I can do with them??? If you have any suggestions please help me out, I hope to edit it some more after I get a few comments. Z

cool atmospherik sounds..
basses are nice.
production seems fairly tight.
i just rekon u need to give ur drums some power... chuck a ghost snare in there, and layer your drums, dont just use one or two layerd sample... use like 3 or 4 to get a full sound. hats and cymbals could be more busy also... make them busy but play with the level of them, so they arnt all hitting hard. otherwise it sounds shit house.
cool synths and basses in this though... very good at keeping the darkvibe.... i rekon u just need to get it abit heavier.
peace

Appreciate the review alot, I will work on it some more! Layer my kicks with 3 or 4 kicks? Really? Hey I am learning somthing new all the time. Z
Despite the sub and several basslines, the low-end of thisone still sounds empty. I think you need to work on the EQing of this track.
The drums sound a bit simple and don't really roll or anything. Maybe add some ghosts? The cymbals and stuff are too loud, the snare and kick could use a slight boost.
The main theme isn't bad, but you bring it in a way that doesn't really spark intrest.
So, some nice ideas and sounds, but not really an intresting track

I will work on the things you mentioned. I def. need some snare action, you are right! I did a 25Hz cut on all the lows to give it a little head room. I will bring up the sub, it's way way tooo low.... I will turn the cymbals down. I will try to bring some life to the track, I have a few ideas I want to throw in to make it more interesting. I appreciate the review and help. Z
creepy intro as always , very cool !
Sub is terrific , drums are nice but theyre missing high end , and some more cutting and things...
FX work is good indeed.
reece sounds like too digital
You really have to make the whole more agressive with filled up drums and agressive cutting (but thats my opinion).
Dunnno about this one , you can do better i guess.
Keep it tight Nick
Build up on this track is cracking, u make excellent use of the effects and delays on your vocals. Sounds quite creepy
Kick drums sound a little metalic, try adding a lower sub element to it and sound ghost snares or hats to the middle of the break. Maybe whack a pitched amen behind the break as well (IMO)
Sub is nice and subby, I love that wabbling bass as well.
Reece sounds too mechanical, run it through some effects, maybe a small reverb to soften it slightly and some filters. and vary the progressions slightly (IMO)
drop: no heaviness, dont like those rides, too loud and way much release on them
well you've got it rolling to a degree with those atmospherics. but those rides.. ditch em IMO
I can imagine that reece melody riffed out instead with a distorted guitar, you kno, metal style. accompanied by more rolling and heavier drums. but that would make for a totally different track tho
I didnt really feel this, Ive heard better stuff from you in some of your previous tracks

Good start mate
The wobble bass line was home-made! I made it in Kontak! I will give it another stab, I posted it a little thin to get some ides and I got what I needed! Thanks! Z

I will turn the rides down alot! Up my sub, and experiment with the reece a bit more, I was stuck on that alone for a long wile. I appreciate the review, I hope to fix it on my next day off and post edit 2. Z
