Celebrated on both sides of the Atlantic, it’s in the unassuming personality of futurist B-boy Hive that drum and bass finds its mightiest bridge between the UK and the US. His tracks have become staples of virtually all of drum and bass’ legends, from Andy C to Goldie, and make regular appearances on Grooverider’s Radio 1 program--on which Hive’s towering “Neo” spent weeks at number one on the Five Mighty Rollers. Hive’s label Violence has registered sales comparable to Ram, Renegade Hardware, and Valve. He’s toured worldwide and now finally he will make his debut on belgian soil!
Vicious Circle

The 4 man collective known as Vicious Circle began in a flat in South London almost 3 years ago. Born out of a mutual love of all things Drum n Bass and with a wide range of influences ranging from Detroit techno to Motown, this exciting new crew have entered the scene with a bang and intend to continue rocking dance floors with their no holds barred style of deep dark future funk. At BASS-XL the Vicious Circle collective will be represented by Simon Mortlock.

Concerning the national strike
Update 6 okt - 12:00
Concerning the strike:
As announced in the media the NMBS will strike from tonight 22h00 till tomorrow evening 22h00. After 22h00 there will still be trains from Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent to Ostend with an arrival around midnight (The timetable will be posted later on today but I can assure you that you won't miss any headliners at that hour)
The buscompany "De Lijn" is striking too, but this poses no problem in ostend itself as the venue is on a 5 mins walking distance.

If you have some spare seats or need some seats you can add yourself here. Thcx for the people who have already offered some seats !!
The tool will not display your phonenumber or email-address, an interested person can contact the other person either through a mailpage (hiding the receiver his email address) or request the phonenumber which will be mailed to that person then (as not everyone can check their mail on a frequent basis).
I do wish to remind that it is only needed for the ride to Ostend on friday, Saturday morning the strike will be over and the first train leaving is around 4h30, getting back will thus be no problem at all!
More news about the party (Timeschedules, etc...) is coming today btw!

I'm sorry man but I think you won't be with backed up that much on this.
For myself I absolutely adore Rik, last time I saw him perform in the Vooruit with Soul.MC he was just absolutely BLINDING (imo) and yeah he's getting a lot of trust & respect from our camp.
Thatz why he's getting carte blanche on the night, so it is entirely up to him how long he will mc, on which sets and how high his mic will be.
But knowing him i'm certain he won't overdo

anyone know how big this venue is, never been there... I just want to avoid those small, packed as hell, boiling places as much as I can for the moment, a bit of claustrophobia I guess, so...

Hangar 1 isn't that small, full capacity is about 850 with the balcony, the second room (which is bigger) will have a section open so you can chill & stuff in enough space & rest
Some pics of the room, the darkness/fuzzyness doesn't really do justice to the space, it is bigger than the impression you get on the pictures

from the pictures it looks ok to me it doesn't seem small at all
when I said small packed up places I meant bars and such, you know no air to breath no space to move nowhere to go
I need some vital space
looking forward to this one, I've really liked all the last releases on violence (the Welcome to Violence LP kicks ass), as for most of Hive's own stuff all around (paradenasite on Dom & Roland's album). Most people don't know his name, but simply say 'bring it on' and it'll definitely ring a bell to any dnb head
