The weirdo president of Turkmenistan has banned the use of recorded music (ie CDs, tapes and records) and 'lip-synching' (ie playbacking) in all public events

every culture, at one point or another, tries to hold back progress.
either the group get's burned to the ground, decapitated, run out into exile, or just plain ol' bombed. some take long to dismantle.

Hmm, I heard that people have been making bogus web pages on the BBC news site, you must have seen the one about the lion killing midgets!!,
I wouldnt be suprised if this was one of those. Although crazier things have happened. Besides he has got a point about lip-syncing and the presevation of culture.
