Lately I have been receiving quite some spam email with my own nickname in the "from" field. eg: something@Djfreemc.bifqvqimp.za. Now to me this is just anothers spam e-mail that gets filtered out automatically. What worries me, is that my nickname is used in the sender's email adress. If this adres is also used to send such mails to other people, they might think that I am responsible for that shit.

that happened to me too on one earlier account. lesson learned: never ever write your e-mail on forums, boards etc. in it's true form. those you receive are automated spam modules because you did so.
for ex. add spaces or replace the @ with a #
like in
djfreemc @ somthn.com
djfreemc#somthn.com

They put your (nick)name in the adress to catch your intrest, it's just another way of trying to get you to read it. I don't think they use your name for sending spam to other people...
