That makes some sence, but... I thought that no audio card should be able to produce coloured signal output... it is not to the whole card or its processor (which calculates the sounds) but to the AD/DA converter...
thanx

But to take advantage of that, you also need the most expensive monitors you can afford
And since these get expensive even faster then audio cards

Fact.
In the meanwhile I'm very satisfied with the 2ms latency on my new card

OK, to answer this topic...
The delta 1010lt is really good for its price range. I have one myself and I remember first installing it (I was running a 5.1 surround sound 16 bit sound card lol). The difference was tremendous! Well my DMA buffer size is 256 and I get 6.5ms latency which actually isn't bad at all. The routing capabilities of this thing is pretty good and the pre amp is really handy also. One downfall I would give the card is that it doesn't really bring your audio to life...
What I would recommend is using a good quality hardware sound card. That way you are not using computer resources to run the thing, but using its own resources
And as for monitors... The logic behind it is very simple. Why do you produce a sound/song/track in the first place? Well, so people can listen right? So the monitors are the main objective of the whole project. If you have monitors producing amp'ed or fake frequencies then theres no point! GET GOOD MONITORS!
