try with listening to a piece from the original and try to find out the bpm by listening to it.
like for example Felix - Don't go is something around 130

yeah but there's another obstacle , they're cutted ruffly so it could start on the kick or before or on the snare or some milliseconds next to it...
and many milliseconds make a second Smile

audacity is a open source wave-editor program Wink
just open the acapella/vocal in any wave editor program where u can change the tempo without changin the tone, then set the tempo to 175 or any other tempo u want it to run in

Listen to the mangler and other presets i think you will find what you need for those evol intent effects (not the glitch tho).

Might sound like a dumb question but is it really that easy? and you dont end up with happy hardcore style chipmunk vocals?

if so i might have to install it!

you need to know the original bpm and have a piece that fit a multiple of 8 bars (16, 32, 64, 128..)
but they dont go chipmunkstyle

Do you know some vst that can determine the bpm of a vocal , or is that unexistant ?
Cause its so hard to stick long vocals on a beat (theres always some kind of tolerance)

what i'd do is play the sample in a media player open up fruity right click the tempo then click tap and sit there tapping away happily until i was totally happy with the tempo

EDIT:

Oh yeah and you should probably try cutting the long vocals up into smaller pieces, much easier to mess with when they are sliced nicely.

Hi!

I'm new to drumnbass.be but I've been on DOA for some time now. I've recently been experimenting with the Evol Intent vox and I came up with a way to achieve this kind of sound.

Lower the pitch until it already sounds (a bit) ogrish (it's not helpful to set a standard of 40% or anything).

Use a LOT of chorus; the chorus speed should be set to almost the maximum available and from there you can try different modulation depths/rates. Try to keep the feedback as low as possible and the delay slight but not too slight. Big Grin

Distort the sound a slight bit and use a low-pass filter if you think the feedback from the chorus is still too heavy on the high end.

I hope I helped!

Drummer

that's the spirit ;
i myself always try the full vox ; see if the vocal is metronome ; if not ; cut em up ; but never do so if u never heard the original track ; for example : any track that's been on military riddim or martial arts riddim are verry easy to remix cuz the beats so simple ; then if u go looking at 45 riddim u'll notice why much stuff goes offbeat after 12 seconds (scratches an beatless moments )
Big Grin
(im drunkkkkk)
