Hello folks, this is my first post on this board, so I thought I'd start with one of my tunes.

Here it is:

not too fond of the intro beat, too rigid. snare is offbeat, its coming a bit late. I dont like the dynamics of the kick either - too much a velocity change there.
when your bassline enters you should drop that introbeat

watch out there's distortion on the kickroll at 1:40

ooh another amen track. sadly this 2005 and people still use whole loops. chop it up and make it more your own

and there is too much quality differences between them. the first is very lo-fi and too loud

this gets boring quite fast cause there is no changeups xcept for the very vague amen breaks, bassline just one pattern looping till the end...

abrupt break at 4:20, I can see what you wanted with that drop but it just didnt come with much impact, again a change in bassline be it different notes, filtering or whatnot would freshen things up

this is not by all means that bad as the comments might get you think it is, you generally got ok ideas in this... but there is room for much improvement

Your snare sounds very chopped, try getting it to sound a bit more natural sounding

The volume of your kicks varies Confused

Reece like bass sound coming in: quite abrupt, try having a better transition

Tramenz dropping in: The EQing could be a bit better, and there's no variation. Chop it up and edit!

Sounds to me you haven't been producing for very long...

OK, cheers.

The tune will be mastered soon which will hopefully make it sound a bit better.

And yea, you're right, I haven't been producing long, this is my first 'proper' track.

Wow, nice sounds in the begining...on second thought they sound a little lame Big Grin
Anyway, the beat that started is too boring... try adding some variation... ohh, here is the dnb beat... the snare is way too loud, lower it down...

Some pretty clear hihats. The tune is kinda empty. And that layered kick is too loud... better use the second only....
The bass that started is too loud, it covers the other instrments...

the amen snips are ok, but get boring... hmm, nothing new further down the tune... you need much variations, brotha...
The amen is a bit muddy, try boosting the upper freqs or find the better samples version Wink

Anyway, not much interesting stuff... add a string or two, or some better bass sound and you will fix it tremendeously... Smile

Harsh comment, but by harsh comments you can teach yourself... kissass comments don't serve anybody... Bigup
