ez...

Typically, the default location for VST installations is C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase SX\Vstplugins or something similar, sometimes referred to as %VST PLUGINS||

Usually you can change this path during install, or otherwise move the .dll after install.

However, I don't use Cubase, and am trying to install Sonalksis which won't allow install to any other directory.

Does anyone know if you can change the default VST directory under Windows XP using regedit or something?

I've looked at various sites including Sonalksis' support but haven't found the solution yet....

Cheers...

Solution in case anyone is interested is...

Regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > VST > [modify 'VSTPluginsath' to X:\Desired Folder]

I'm not sure what you mean.. Sonalkis won't install anywhere else than the VST directory (C:\...Steinberg...VST)?

that program PROBABLY has an option somewhere to which folder (directory) to refer whaen asking for VST/VSTi plugins.
