Renoise??? what is it and how does one use it ?? anyone here use it ?? do you like it do you dislike it ??? is it worth it should i not bother?? sound quality??

I posted something about that tracker awhile ago.. thought it was pretty funny I mean a tracker with vst/vsti support.. comon
I d/l the demo and I can say it has reasonable quality.. not going to fiddle with trackers again tho
FastTracker 2 ruled!!!

Lol sorry that was not meant to help you out, but to save some time for people who have never heard of the program and are interested in it.
I'll change the subject too to something more relevant, might help in attracting attention of people that do have something useful to say about it.

Yes it's true I use Renoise, just check out Amazon Rain tune if you want, it was all made in renoise.
and for some informations .. it has about the same quality as proffesional sequencer softwares..
advantages of tracker :
-best- work with samples, tracker itself is actually something like sampler itself, easy layering, best tool for drums in my oppinion. it's cheap and powerful, and the community is great
disadvantages of tracker :
"oldskool" method of writing tunes, it looks like nasa-hacking program, so it's not eye-candy, manipulating with complex chords and melodies is harder in tracker, you have to work in patterns [no linear sequencing]
renoise lacks mixer.
my dream software would be renoise combined with reason, probably in next versions of it, piano roll and mixer will be implemented, not that it is really necessary but it helps your workflow.

yeah there were some screenshots and it pretty much looked like a bare bones sequencer without the fancy GUI .... hmm well thanks for the info mate ...
