yup, im all for it man. i guess i should've ran a poll last time i came up with the idea, but i wasn't sure if the topic would even catch attention. seems to be alot of mixed feelings on this one tho, but not everyone sees the same. it's cool tho, hope it works tho.

isnt just writing in the tune description whether its a preview or not good enough? do people evn read the tune descriptions? is it really that much of a problem that solid, complete tunes are put with ones that are still testing out?

reckon its cool the way it is myself, i find that previews are wicked for finding out about the things ive missed, i reckon if there were 2 separate sections most people would only d/l the finished tunes. thats wot i think anyway.

there might not be very many finished tunes if they split em up...myself, i hardly ever upload anything finished, that goes to bigger and more important places, i just do previews to test them out.
hardly anyone on this site understands that a finished tune should really take a good solid 2 months, anyway

guess it's just different strokes for different folks. dave akuma was one that was like that too. i remember he used to turn out shit like every other day and each one was better than the next. dunno anymore tho, i dont see him around that much.

Yeah but do we actually know that people are spending as much time as they say they are
on their work?
I can throw a whole album up here and then give it the large and make out i did it all in ten weeks! unless some ones actually watchin me some how (yawn) they're not gonna know any better!
I can tell you from my experience that the last tune I worked on I spent 3-4 weeks just
on the breaks alone. thats just pure programming from one single hit onwards.
Sometimes Id get a really fat break goin, leave it for a while, listen with fresh ears and get pissed
when something minor sticks out and aggrevates me , then pull it all apart and start again arrrgh!
Unless you're runnin other people's loops or parts of their loops good self constructed programming dont come easy. Im sure a lot of you can relate to that.
As for seperate finished/un-finished sections I think may be just splittin hairs!
and peeps that cant manage to finish a track could be in trouble cos I agree most people
that hit the site will lean towards downloading the finished article. leave well alone
Later.

there are exceptions, sure.
well, i only produce like 1 or 2 hours a day, and not even every day, so that would be a month for me, right there.
