k....first up can we have a link to the comp.and is it still open?

beat is a bit rigid.....the huh sample is maybe a bit loud....and the lfo style lead/bass is as well....which is a pity cause i quite like it....
maybe add some more hats, cymbals etc...and maybe some more ghost notes....

what software did you use?..id quite like to remix your remix Big Grin

dont like the snare, its all crunch and a more resonant would fit in better IMO.

oooh wobbly bassline. yes its a bi loud but its cool - like the keys played. dont like the off-beat lfo - good idea tho.. maybe redo the automation

also not much elements so it gets boring after a while. ok I see now its for a compo but couldnt you add your own sounds in it

I feel this track could become very good with a few improvements here and there

Yo!!! You just gave away your tune Sykotic....Didnt wanna wait until the 1st huh? The use of the lfo's are very unique... Would like to see a lill bit more variation to the break...The bass seems a bit muddy maybe reducing the decay on it and adding a lil more compression would do the trick...also now that I think about it ...less resonance may also help...The structure seems friendly tho I was waiting for that second drop and never got one...Or maybe I missed it? Overall the tune gives me that aphrodite feeling..Which isnt a bad thing... just really isnt my bag..Also seeing as how I am part of the comp...I would also like to point out that we are allowed to use our own vocal samples... Really wasnt diggin the diva vocal...I feel this track deserves a 5/10 considering it has structure and vibes but is lacking energy and a proper mixdown. You still got mad time left so you should be able to sort it out before the deadline...Cant wait to hear the finished version!!! Nice work man. I don't know anything about the comp thing. Will certianly check it though! I like the delay's on the vocal's, almost goes away but then creep's back Pleased . As allready said, the reese could be opened up more and maybe do some other shape bending things to it. This will make it more interesting imo. Like the closed hi-hat used, very solid sounding. As you stated this doesn't sound like your previous work but I guess the comp thing has it's limitation's. Cool choone Big Grin !!

good tune dude, although alittle repetitive a times would be good mixed in a set but change the vox slightly and add a second more pronounced drop, well thats my opinion anyway. each to their own an all that but overall great potential and i do like your bass 9/10 and BLESSED BE!!

Well the thing is that we are starting to pack up to get the hell out of this place (Iraq). I wasn't sure if I'd have time to post toward the end of the month. Plus I was hoping to get some others to post theirs, so I could hear 'em. Also, posting in here gets some really good feedback on what I should change....so BOLO for an update before the deadline...

Hmmm, this sounds a bit interesting. I think I may have to just check this one out as well. Not bad man, just seems like some things need to be changed up. Kinda sucks being in such a tight situation over in Iraq, so it's understandable. Definitely not feelin' the diva vocals, tho it does sound familiar like I've heard that sample somewhere else a while ago. Hmmm, i dunno, but here's the things I think could be a bit better. Structures good, just needs something more to give it a little more excitement, kinda had me bored about half way through. No harm intended, just saying. As disaporah stated man, breaks could use a changeup or just something to make them a little more busy. Not sure i like the snare either. Bass does sound kinda muddy, but i know how basslines can be a bitch when compteting for bandwidth. The wobbly basslines sounded alright, just thinking maybe more variation in those too. Hearing that warble-warble-warble for 5 minutes with no variation could get kinda annoying. Nice voc stabs tho, kinda adds a funky depth to it. Just keep working at it man, sound slike it's got promise, and could definitely be interesting with more work. Bigup

Like the basses in this tune, certainly like the breakz, beautiful edits! But the general sound of the drums is too digital to my ears... And the voice, sorry, got annoyed by that...

Actually, part of the voice sample, and the digital sounding drums, this is really a nice tune, like the way u use the basses...

Drums have much variation, and still the song gets a bit too much of the same in the end, this only means that the breakz don't come out enough, so, I'd say, make the drums come out more and mold the rest 'round it, your drumedits deserve to get a a more important role... What I mean is, the parts I liked the most were where there wasn't but drums & basses, and as few effects as possible around.. Good atmospheres though.. From 5.10 on liked it very much, but missed the punch of the drums...

But the bass in combo with the drums is really dope...
