Please check out my new track 'Wowzers' and post your comments here!!!

This isn't really done in my typical style, its a breaks tune - but I know thats permitted on this site, and plus I know some of you do breaks, so would be well good to hear from you about this. I am making drum and bass at the moment but its using loads of copyright stuff, like I'm doing a dnb remix of the BLue Oyster CUlt - DOnt Fear teh REaper Tune.

ANyway, I Know I haven't reviewed anybodies anything for ages, but thats because I dont have personal internet (broadband) access until OCtober - I'm using public computers. Until then, when I will repay all reviews, please leave us a comment. I'm not a big fan of this style at all actually, but I would love some zadvice on where to take the tune.

well, if it reminds you of something it might be some Dom & Roland tune cos it reminds me of that aswell - hope it aint exactly the same.

i havent checked out the mp3 mixdown yet, mebbe thats responsible for the lack of kick etc and the tune is unfinished. it lacks something, i dunno what though. is a bit boring.

thanks for the review Bigup

EDIT: yeah checked that tune out, its called 'PArasite', there is a similarity, but nothing major Wink

has a good vibe in it.

i like how drums have this "hall" feel. nice reverb, that's nice for this downtempo track.

the flute like lines are well placed, gives it a nice airy feel

nice one

this ain't the kind of dnb i like to listen to
but your intro is cool an the drop was nice
you can hear it's put togheter real nice but for me the drumz just aren't complex for such slow track
also i seem to have a problem with the synth in the intro
it doesn't click yet but it's getting pretty close, try filtering that out Big Grin
think it's a track that's put togheter nice but still ain't my thing so i'm not going to rate, sorry Frown

thanks for the reviews. no its not my exact cup of tea either - its breaks not dnb for starters. but just trying to do summat a bit different.
so you thinks the drums are a bit under complex? your probably right, im gonna add a few more hihats, and put a few filters on at points etc.

would be interested to hear what the breaks heads on site think bout this one aswell.

actually i'm pretty much into breakbeats man that's why i said the drumz weren't complex enough
respect for tryin' to do something different anyway
without people doin that the scene would freeze an die because of dillinja's; roni size's an andy c's (wich are good but just are waaaay to mainstream nowadays)
peace Big Grin

intro is ok but i dunno doesnt really grasp me or anything.
well-enough produced.
you've got a bit of distortion goin on in your low end...that just kinda ruins the whole thing for me.
i like the beat tho.
that flute thing is hideous lol
keep the melody and idea of it but use a different sound.
im kinda gettin into the groove of this now. even tho its jus kinda like the same thing over and over.
ok i guess, not really what i'm used to hearing, sure, but its alright. fix the distortion tho. level your low-end sounds out.

i dunno mate, "flute" sounds pretty good this end, as does bass . . . i hate the way mixdowns dont put out exactly what you hear when you make em Roll Eyes and before you ask, i do have decent speakers and a decent amp.

anyway, thanks for the review. any others? Munki C, you do breaks man . . .

Very dark tune, beats are nice but i think sound too distant. need to try and get a bit more energy into it, the mix is too bassy n all. would like to hear more of ur tunes.dave

Well I liked it twhen that shit kicked in it sounded clean and a rhythmatic flow to it. I would recomment that you make the ending better it just fell off and left me wanting more. Great job. I'd give it a 8.
