I try not to get 2 hung up over this rating system up here
Especially when people are rating themselves even if not
intentional
Some of the newbies are hammering like 3 thumbs up per review
I don't think genre splitting helps either
Or judging productions motivated by 'personal' style
You know like If this tracks Hardstep, or trancey etc etc
At the end of the day it's all one big DnB site man,
I think we can all have one thing in common up here
and that is we all have ears and that they can tell
when someones put a serious amount of work into a tune regardless of type of drum n bass!
If it's any consolation - when your tune gets slated even when you've worked your arse off
At least you've got a dedicated website to showcase your material globally.
Good Music will always get the appreciation it deserves in the end,
When it's in the right place - at the right time - It will get it's just rewards!!!!

@dubcupboard : uhu , but if there are enough people to rate , it'll always be +- the right .
Like if you have track 5 times reviewed , the possibility is big that the track will have 4 or 5 stars.
But when its 50 times reviewed , the track will have 2 or 3 stars.
...do you know what i mean.
So when enough reviewed , the truth allways wins.

the ratings are the same but they are displayed in a different way. One the homepage the rating goes from 1 to 5 stars, and in the Tunes forum it goes from -5 (5 thumbs down) to +5 (5 thumbs up).
