NOJZZ (BassCulture)

At the age of thirteen, Nojzz started listening to hip-hop and broken beats from Ninja Tune to Wu-Tang Clan. After three years of intense music listening, he discovered drum 'n' bass through Logical Progression 1. He immediately fell in love.
At the same moment he started experiencing with Fasttracker to make his first songs. Some of his early works can be heard at two Dutch compilations 'Dutch Breakz 1&2' (Feeling and Moonlaunch).
His hands started itching and he started DJ'ing drum'n'bass at the age of 17. Four years later his dedicated practising and sending out demomixes got rewarded as the Unrezt crew from Brussels invited him to play at their Muzical Unrezt party in the beginning of 2002. After this first gig, everything went in a whirlwind: he played in the two following years at almost every place in Belgium. he became resident at the Unrezt parties in Brussels, the weekly Steam nights in Ghent and parties in Rijkevorsel (Antwerp).
Production wise, things were a bit calm, though the interest in his songs stayed. In the first months of 2004 he went studying in Spain, which led to five months not-DJ'ing. In those months, he concentrated on his songs. Improving his own sound, Unrezt asked him to make an exclusive track for their upcoming compilation.

CONTRADICTION (Stardust)

Jorre Janssens has always been a musicfan and electronic mus in particular, but it was around '98 he discovered drum'n'bass by the likes of LTJ bukem (Atlantis), Reprezant (Hero), Grooverider (Where's Jack the Ripper), and many, many more.... Two years and a holiday job later he bought himself his first decks and started out spinning them records. He has always been fan of the more musical side of dnb, whether it was the liquid funk or the more trancy/techy direction. Lately that darker side of him gets puched more and more in the corner and Liquid funk became his primary love.
After practicing a couple of years, time came to move from the bedroom to the dj booth, a couple of mixes appeared on several fora and received nothing but good critics!
A Contradiction-set can be described as a mix with Quality tunes, new ones as well as classics from time to time, fast and long mixes and steady build-up. His neverending search for combos sometimes makes him pull his hair out but makes him stand out of the others...

I-WITNESS (Distraxion, D-Fence)

I started dj'ing in 2001 as AMbush but quickly changed my name into I-Witness. I co-organized some parties in Glabbeek (Bunker : Drum in the basement) and Leuven (Rumba : Wasted) in 2003 and also spinned myself on Wasted. In the same year i won a dj-contest in Aartselaar. Getting in touch with more d&b-freaks in Leuven and on the internet i played on some small parties (Assault, Konektionz) in 2004. With a friend i started DISTRAXION to do our own parties in Leuven. Our purpose was to make a variated line-up (with different styles of d&b) and combining new talent with well known djs. Since 2005, Sicko (Payback Crew) and myself are planning to organise monthly free parties in Gent. Also check my startpage http://drumnbass.leuven.nu , which is becoming one of the largest dnb databases on the net.

SICKO (Payback, Mixtures Hotel, D-Fence)

My passion for drumnbass began 5 years ago, when I heard Goldie perform, an absolutely mint set by the legend himself. The vibe of this form of electronic music was passed on and soon I started collecting various dnb tracks. As I started playing out more often, I soon realised that I especially like the liquid side of dnb. Nowadays I mainly concentrate on the party vibe, I try to deliver what the crowd wants. Besides being a member of Mixtures Hotel, I also form the second half of the Payback Crew. Both organisations were a huge support to boost through the music industry! Being in the dnb scene for 4 years gave me the opportunity to play alongside people as Milennium Kru, Bigheadh, DARYL, Wildchild, Lenzman, Soul MC, XZ32, Border, Karlito, Buscemi and so on.

Aight, wicked to see the place nicely filled for quite a while!
I-witness & me started off with some funky chill out vibes , all good .
Nojzz absolutely killed it ! Excellent tunes and tight mixing!
You sure got the people going man, nice one !
Contradiction continued with some funky business, heard a lot of new stuff.
Unfortunately most of the people left at around 03 o'clock.
Nice seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new people !
Up to the next one !
I hope you all had a good time
