For the fourth year in a row, we are proud to present STEP ONE,
A massive Open Air fest in a nice rural setting. Once again we're preparing to invade Malderen and shake the earth with the same familiar concept, growing a bigger and better and badder each year.

Our headliners for this year have made quite a name for themselves in 2005, killing the dancefloor with massive releases like the 'Block Control EP' on Moving Shadow and the 'Monster EP' on Subtitles. No eardrums are spared when their remix of Konflict's 'Messiah' blows trough the system, and not even classic 80s tracks like 'Fade to grey' are safe from these guys. Needless to say we are extremely proud to be able to host them on our meadows.

For those who don't know yet:
Step One is an open air drum & bass party on a quiet field in the Flemish countryside. After last year's troubles with the police (for which we'd like to apologize again!) we've had to change our concept a little.
We start at 16h00 in the afternoon, and the music stops at 03h00. This doesn't mean everyone has to leave, you're all welcome to stay at our camping! There'll be an entrance fee of 3 EUR after 18h00, so everyone: come early!
Again though, we made and are making a big effort to give you a high quality party with a varied line-up at a great location. We'll provide you a fat soundsystem and mesmerizing visual effects and, most of all, a great time, whilst keeping it all very affordable.
On offer will be free camping space so the wasted headz don't have to worry about driving home and the train-massive can get some head-down time, parking facilities (which will be well-lit this time), a shuttle service from & to the trainstation, good food and cheap drinks.

In Short:

okay.. so here it is, the Noisia one..
some girlfriends from Den Haag told me Noisia was coming in BXL on 13 august and wanted to come oevr for that occasion..

hmm it's not BXL.. that'll make it more difficult.. but we'll see, i'll try to please them hehe

gotta buy a tent, definitely..

Well Malderen is quite easily reachable from any given Belgian transtation.

from BXL : take one train to Dendermonde or to Mechelen. (they roll about every 30 minutes), then from Dendermonde, take the L train direction Mechelen. Or from Mechelen, take the L train in the opposite direction (to Dendermonde/gent)

Malderen has a stop on that line.
Belgian Publix transport is pretty cheap as well (compared to for instance holland) so it might be a good option.

First off Ontario Suck's Ass. It's all about beer,frustrated stressed out people and shitty band's over here Cry

, the D&B scene could certianly be allot better, however did go and see Evol Intent vs EWUN in Toronto but there was only like 30 people at the show. There is obviously allot of great producer's here like, Gremlinz & Stranjah, Mutt, Outlook oh and equipped ha.. But everyone is so spread out for this dam country is so dam big. And if there was a nice gig like the one you guy's put together, on a campground and all that funky stuff, the pig's would be there in a jiffie. Would love to check out Belgium in zee near future for it sound's like you guy's really have your shit together over there. Sorry if I offended any Ontario lover with this post, well not really but it's the absolute truth. Anyway once again hope it's a blast, wish I was there. Dressed

that's why we got a free bus driving from the station to our place & back.
You can't expect us to organize a complete transportation line back & forth, because there is absolutely no way we could afford that.

Just look in advance to our 'shuttle timings' (will be available on our webpage) & we'll probably be there when the train arives.
we did that last year as well.

won't make it either this year, my friends cancelled their trip to Belgium Evil

so no insight into deep flanders for me this time

still hesitating whether i'll spend that weekend fooling around in Rotterdam or visiting my parents and paddling around on the Loire river.
