Please check out my new track 'Mystikal (Low Quality MP3)' and post your comments here!!!
Written on my old set up, Apple Mac G4 with Logic 6. Not the best of tunes but the first night i played it out it got reloaded three times! There wasnt many tunes around at the time that sounded like this.
Anyway it was released nearly 2 years ago, hope you all like it.
likin this track as well... nice drums...
really nothing lo-quality about it... sounds better than the other one you put on here
sounds a bit bland in places but im sure played live the sound is filled anyways... nice and funky overall
nice one
Safe track mate
Drums are absolutely thumping ... the build up at the begginng is wicked . gets u intersted in the track, wanting more. Good Subbass on the track. absolutely phat bassline
i can see why u got three reloads mate
woooh....... didn´t expect that !
tight drums,tight sounds,phat drop.

them hats sound familiar.....
ok the arrangement is good......but it doesnt really get interesting until about 3 minutes...seems to be lacking in a lot of low end..... i dont like it after the breakdown when you drop it back it and the lead just cuts half way through a bar....sounds odd. catchy....but sounds very brittle....
the real beef i got is when you break it down..it makes the track more interesting but youve got some strange panning going on...
catchy...what label did it come out on and how many were pressed??

It was the first release on my label, Blyte Recordings. Well, it was a promo release only. Had 1000 printed and was Distributed by SRD for UK only release. Sold all 1000 copys, currently got Simon Bassline doing a VIP remix on it for the 2nd proper release and the first major release of the label so im looking forward to that.
But about the tune, its not really my best, to be fair i dont really like it, i just done it because i knew it was going to be a floor filler! Wrote it in one day, mastered it on the secound day and that was it! straight to press.
Well keep the feedback coming, im thinking of doing another remix for the flipside of Bassline smiths one.
NIce tune,
The drums are well mixed but really need more variation going on.
Not to sure about the chopped synths at the begining, theyre nice but get a bit dull.
The structure is good and rolls along nicely but the only real intrest starts at 3 minutes with the heavily filtered synth, which is nice but needs to come in earlier.
The other thing i noticed is the bass. The sub is present and correct but the actual audiable bands seem to be a bit lacking. If you listened to this on headphones you wouldnt get much of the bass line at all, but for a PA this probably isnt a problem.
Not bad at all probably goes down well live but isnt really my cup of tea. A bit too nondescript for my likeing.

Your drums and basslines need reEQing though. The drums need more phatness and punch, the basslines need to be more auditable. Some have a nice sub, but you can't hear it, so work on that.
Quite good choon, but the sound defo needs work
