Please check out my new track 'Revolution' and post your comments here!!!
this is a preview. worked a few hours on this one,and some critics would help....
made this track with Reason 2.0 - don´t be too hard with sound critics , my sound system is wack!
it´s a dark one......

Over this is still a "amature" sounding track, The intro is far too long, If the aim of the tune is to have a long intro maybe try changing it abit more, make it evolve a little and maybe have tease the listeners with a little bass.
Also try considering that if you are looking to have it released and for a DJ to play it, that it will only be played for 2 - 3 Min at the most, so try and make the Breakdown and the drop the most prominant parts of the tune and put all your effort into making these parts of your tune the best!
Other than that, you show alot of talent, maybe consider moving onto "Logic" or "Pro tools" as Reason isnt all that good for producing Drum'n'Bass, and the sound quality from Reason is sh*t to say the least.
Anyway
Keep it up.

thanks for review.
reason sound sucks, true, but a friend of mine (psy trance prod.) will "tune my sounds" and i think we can do a lot with my stuff.
logic - so hard,so much work ( i played a little bit with logic but i can do nearly nothing, have to learn it!)

lmao @skeptic......reason isnt that good for producing drum n bass??? oooooooook.
i agree the sound quality isnt that good....but thats why you rewire it...... check out cubase sx syneptic....rewire reason to and away you go..you will need some 3rd party plug ins..i advise you check out either waves gold bundle or diamond bundle. and psp mixpack.
if your happy sequencing in reason then stick with it.....the audio architecture in reason isnt very special..but cubase is.....will sound a lot better.
and by the way pro tools isnt really designed to be a reason/fruity loops style sequencer.....its mainly the hard disk version of tape/reel to reel....designed mainly for recording and mixing big chunks of audio.......it wont be no good to you unless youve got the appropriate hardware.
ok now the tune......as for the programing.....yeh not bad...but think about the arrangement a little more....you need to be aware of creating a vibe so that your b line has more impact.....drama is good...light n shade is also good.use it!!
theres some sound which are a little like ye olde casio keyboard sounds......think about checking out some of the newer soft synths..partly for fresher sounds but youll also see a step up in sound quality. pm me if you want my opinion on synths or fx.
generally ok.....not great... but i see where your trying to go

intro too long imo make it shorter
drums are good programmed, feel like a nailing hammer
nice drum edit at 1:53 but I'm not getting the flanging with fadeout after
the bells-like sounds maybe has too much release?
pretty mean sounds, especially that bass is evil
overall sounds need refinement as in try to bring their vital frequencies out. just attach a couple eq modules and play with them
as structure is concerned theres not much to be done.. just rework those sounds
get a pair of headphones, would be good switching between speakers and them..
oh and thats the uglyest avatar Ive seen lately

Well, in all fairness it doesnt really matter what you use, but with Reason the Sequencing on the drums is quite diffecult. I use reason sometimes when im on my PC, i use it as a instrument in Nuendo, its alot more usefull that way, as the synths in reason are superb and so is ReDrum, but the sound is awfull!!!
Try gettign a hold of a copy of Cubase or Nuendo and run Reason through that as a instrument.
Well id better go my Mrs has just made me breakfast and is moaning at me!!!!! arrrrgggghhh!!!

nice track mate... nice to hear some one else using reason as well...
ive been using reason 3 for a while having no problems writing drum and bass and i think sound quality is alright compared to other programs... it just depends how much effort you put into gettin your tune to sound the way you want it to...plus every music creation tool out there has its pro's and cons.
there are so many tracks that ive heard live that have been made on reason... its easy too pick out the sounds....
anyway back to the track... nice drum programming works well... bass needs to be a bit deeper.. and the structure at the end is messy but not bad overall... 7/10

er..well i completely disagree.the synths in reason comletely suck when you compare them to something like absynth or reaktor........and its easy to program beats in reason.....its the most user friendly software about for a beginner, ok maybe ableton is more sensible for noob........I also rewire to cubase sx 2..but i wouldnt dream of using anything in reason except from recycle/dr.rex, redrum and the sample players.....the third party synth vsti that are available make reasons synths look like toys.....like ive said before...its the difference in sound.like the difference between cubase and logic.or an emu and akai sampler.....

Nice rolling amenz, but they sound a bit thin. Overcompressed a bit too...
Drop: nice stuff, but the sound is horrible. I can hear just enough to hear there's some good stuff in there
I have an idea, send me the reasonfile with all samples embedded, and I'll do the sound for you, just to show you what difference good sound can do for ya track...
So quite good, but the sound REALLY needs work

Wooow dude nice and creepy intro ... you should have done more with the evil bass dude, has a hardcore vibe man ... wow your drumz sound great with the evil vibe man nice that's some SATAN shit there man ..
The gameboy sounds sound more evil then I would have expected
haha they sound great ! You created an evil atmosphere there man I really dig it, like some evil shit at some times and now's the time
The dark synth works together perfectly with the dark bass ..
I like the overall sphere you created, nice dark and evil
you should have put some background vocals in it ya know some creepy shit to boost the evilness a little
8.5/10 nice job, we need more of this !
