I don't really get it __ 07-07-2005 16:55 @1$-) unregistered ok firstly the breaks stuff (www.breaksfm.com) is a production competition.......you have until the 11th of this month to enter....so not long.....this trackis basically nu skool breaks.although its little fast...but its more breakbeat than drum n bass. just have alook on their main page and follow the links. the winner get a release on a "major" breaks label with a remix by a big nae on the flip. the ten runners up get put on a breaksfm mix cd......to be sold from their site...(its a well known site!!) but its breakbeat (nu skool breaks) only.so no dnb about the tune.......you dont need to change the beat for variation..but you need to add in more instruments and fx to keep it interesting....more sounds to keep it varied....its very repetitive....the arrangement could just do with a tweak.... 07-07-2005 17:07 spudleyq Master Producer Registration Date: 23-09-2004 Posts: 838 Helpfulness rating:  Haha, this is great. You already know my beef though, more speed. Munki's right though too, more fills and maybe something that resembles a melody. Those laser blast FX could definitely be used, not sure how it would sound, but if you gave them more rythm and possibly altered the pitch a bit, you might be able to make a melody out of it. It's not your bpm which is too slow (I think it's possible to create nice tune with, let's say 1 bpm), but there isn't much happening. I kept waiting for something more, but was left with a (allright) nice beat and some atmosperic tunes. I was quite bored after a while.
