Please check out my new track 'flexful' and post your comments here!!!
Not exactly D&B style, i am submitting this for those of you who think that music, magic and meditation are different. These are two entirely different tracks, one drum track i recorded of myself messing around with a Fruity Loops demo, and one track of me messing around at home on my keyboards (just pressed record and sat down). I *was* planning on editing them and looping, and mixing and all that, but spontaneously decided to just stick the two together, with astounding results. These tracks were recorded about a month apart, and were never intended to be related in any way. They are both completely unedited (a bit of spontaneous play near the end), and unsynched.
I'm not fishing for compliments, particularly regards to form, but to be honest, i have no idea at ALL when it comes to mixing and mastering, so if this sounds sh*t on your sound system, let me know, along with any tips you might care to share.
This track has been deleted. Reason: non-dnb

Hmmm, the rules say DnB only, so I'm afraid we'll have to delete thisone...

please don't, i am posting this in response to a previous thread about improvisation and computer music.
Also, did you even listen to it, or did you just catch a few words in the description that allowed you a small opportunity to assert your 'e-thority' over a complete stranger? Not a very nice community spirit there, Mr. Super Moderator, i sincerely hope you do not have unilateral executive power to actually go ahead with that, because it would really demean the other people who participate around here.
If you do, i'll be sure to slap a break beat on it to conform to your labelling standards, before signing off for good.

It's ultimatly up to the admin, not to me, but the rules are: DnB only.
And yes, I have listened to it.
If we start accepting other stuff too, we should change the name to "electronicmusic.be" or something. This is a DnB site, it's about DnB, not about other styles.
The thing is, to keep things running smoothly you need rules. If you don't apply them, they are no use, so we can't make exceptions. We've already deleted non-DnB tracks that were posted by moderators too, so we're not eyeballing you.
However, you are allowed to upload other styles somewhere else and post a link to them in the offtopic section, thats no problem.

That's a fine and logical response. It is entirely the mindset that creates and maintains beaurocratic death machines like the American presidency and various other regimes, but i see and respect that you are not a plebe, so point taken.
