the drums in the intro seems much louder and fatter? drums sounds overcompressed after the drop or maybe the bass just overpowers them?
yeah you can hear the drums get compressed and 2:09 just after they drop... if you are using compression on your master channel is should be multiband and be careful with compression you dont always need it.. usualy only a little!
bass is cool.. deep and fat!
i like the tune though, clown step mania! 3.5/5

Ok interestin tune...
Much better sound after the correction in the EQ....
Intro is ok....
Like the snares and the hihats....
The drop could use some more intensity it is not much "punchy"
The basseline is ok.... has some atmosphere in it...
And maybe I agree with Surya about the compression of the drums ...
Overall exelent tune I rate this 9/10
Just corrected the compression problem...not gonna upload though. It was the mastering suite from Reason 3.0... there was a mastering rack between the mixer and output to soundcard, it was set to the default. I was already using compression, eq, maximisers, etc.. on most of the individual sounds, so I fixed that...no more over-compressing. Sounds A lot better.
Nice intro - when the filtered sound came in with the sub, it sent chills down my spine. Great atmos, and digital tech sounds. The drums sound a bit dry, could use with a spread, some layering or a bit more reverb (at least on the snare). Very unique build up to the drop (how the hell?) nice drop but not too heavy, there's one hat layer that matchs the snare that I don't like too much and some of the drum rolls need attention. Again that filtered sound way in the background is wicked. Could use a few more elements like this. Aside from needing slightly beefier drums, this track has very good sound quality - the eqing helped. Nice work.
7.5/10 Thanks for your reviews.
Digging the intro, like the intro's break and panning before the main drop, I might have left out the kick, but I loved the synth! Like the tricky beats in the end of the track. 9/10 Z
aight!!! Thanks for the reviews... good input from some of ya. Um...the build up to the drop that everyone likes.... well, It kind of just come together, alot of filtering automation on all elements as well... and the kick, seems to be some mixed feelings on that kick... it is actully a combination of two kicks... I had to make it fat enough to cut through the bassline. I was considering using only one of the two kicks for the intro, but ended up leaving both.
I have another track in the works... look out for it in a week or so.
try and start with the drop and work on it till its solid! then you can deconstruct from there to make your intro and breakdowns. Get your lvls right for the drop and you wont have that problem of running out of head space. Hopefully this way the drop will never be a letdown! well..maybe not never
also it just sucks when you make a sick intro but you cant figure the drop to go with it!!

Intro is good with all the sounds but the buildup sounds too standard.
Nice panning 'n rolling. Again the same standard buildup.
Bass woah's nice. Drums could use some layering.
Sounds like jump-up ...is it ?
Overall sounds pretty solid but need to have a finishing touch ( more low/high end , effects for buildups , ...)
Good work.
That sound's really good, love those drum's man. This is really one hell of a track, everything is edited so well the first time I heard it I didn't notice how nice the drum's and structure were. Just goes to show how important the intro can be, it really thew me off last time with the overpowering bass and go figure I just posted a track with the same problem. Anyway nice work Surya and great track Sykotic.
Cheers++Stu Maggoo++
Thanks for checking it out again...BTW what Surya did was fix the link so you could download the latest version...(Seemed like there was some confusion that Surya remastered it...)I actually have a way better sounding version of this track now that I fixed the compression problem. Not posting it here though... If anyone wants it for any reason just PM me.
Loving the Wah Bassline on this track mate, maybe could do with a bit more in the sub range tho. Also nice effects on the bassline to keep it interesting.
Drums do seem a flat, try and beef the kick up a bit it seems to get a bit lost behind some of the sounds
Atmosphere is great in the background, helps fill out the track
Nice bassline, it reminded me a bit of Krust's Warhead. However, I think your beat is a bit too flat. He's nicely constructed, but misses an element and in combination with the bass, it's kinda strange.
I think I corrected the problem that is being described as "beat too flat" when I fixed the compression issue. (mp3 not uploaded) The Bassline itself was so overpowering that it was causing the beat to be compressed. This combined with the extra compression on the track (removed) caused "flat beat syndrone". Anyway, thanks for the reviews.
i like the pumping in the drums, i tihnk it's quite pleasant, and add's a nice sonic imprint for this song. but maybe layer a uncompressed snare on it. jungalist bassline for the drop. great song, need's a sample quote somehwrere int he start. ya know the type that says "we're the only one alive, there all dead" or some sci-fi thing
.
i like the filter sweeping. about the kick not kicking, i tihnk what he means is it need s a initial thud noise. the attack of the kick is lacking. as great as surya is he lacks detail in his reviews. that kicks deep and nice, it's quite phat, i'll say.
