Please check out my new track 'A-Side' and post your comments here!!!
Well, here's the track I was working on when I got carried away experimenting with Harmony Corrupt - so you may recognize some of the sounds. I used the Monologue, Absynth, Tonic filter and the amazing new Kontakt 2 (thanks Magoo - no more Batery clicking away). This is not 100% finished since It's been done entirely on headphones (busy with work so working on this one in the wee hours). Drums are made up of short snips of the three tramens and the tb loop (thanks again to Surya and Reckon) and then a bunch of extra cymbals, snare and bd layers, toms, hats etc. - the drum programming took 2 weeks alone and I spent a lot of time on the drum kit at school trying to figure out the natural accents and velocities of real drumming. The vocal sample is from Public Enemy "Rebel without a Pause" - (still advocates of free use of samples I hope!) Thanks in advance for comments - I'm especially curious how this sounds on various speakers.

Sickapuckaticka DUDE.
I THOUGHT THIS WAS ANOTHER VERSION OF "HERE WE GO AGAIN" A.K.A YOUR LAST TRACK. I thought you were singing through some kind of vocoder at the start of this track. Holy shishkabob! This is one hell of a chunk! Pure mad drum editing! That voice sample seemed like it was, oh wait I just heard that rythm rythm sample he he well done son. Any way the voice sample, the screamin dude sound's out of place, maybe a bit too loud at some parts or it mabye needs another effect on it? It just doesn't seem to fit, something about the effect's? sound? and or levels. Not shure. It's is probably just me in this case. Don't drop it though, that's not what Im saying, see if you can blend it in more if that makes any sense. Your overall sound is still a bit edgy not shure why that is but the whole warmth thing is still lacking. Woudn't worry about it though, it's nothing a good tube compressor or ultra bass could'nt sort out. And your creativity is what matter's anyway, that's where the real brain strain happen's and youve got that area of experteese covered in everywhich way.
Big track man loved the soundz, samples, drumz, and pure soul and hardwork that was put into it. Your track sounded fantastick on my speakers espescially at 2:12 to 2:30, love this part of your track it sound's nice and warm, more of this style at 2:12 in your track would help to blend thing's together. I hope you know what I am saying, I suck with the proffesional word's so sometimes Im shure I make no sense, sorry. This is the first time I have rated like this but here it goes, 9/10. Cheers for the phat track.++Stu Maggoo++P.S. Glad to hear youve still got Kontact 2, have you mannaged to bypass the whole regestration thing? Once again phat track son!

ok i didnt like the last vocoder track.....but judging by the dark ntro this sounds good........nice programming.....
its a bit to in ya face in terms of the sounds.....maybe work on the placement a bit....sounds like a lot is straight down the middle.....either that or use a spatial enhancer to make it sound a bit wider.
man what is it with you and your epic long tracks....cut em down a bit!!
7min 21!!! i think it could do with a chilled bit around 4mins.....just to break it up a little...yknow if its ruff all the time after a little while its not ruff anymore, maybe bring in some dark atmos pads with the industrial noises from the beginning. still....nice tune.

Erm, there's something in the intro that sounds quite ripped from Front 242 if you ask me. If so, we'll have to delete thisone...
Good soundquality, cool sounds, wickid edits, but overall it lacks a decent structure. It just seems go go along, being edited the shit out of it (which is good) but it doesn't sound like it's progressing or anything, it just goes on and on... I'm not saying it's a bad tune, not at all, but some tighter structure would be very nice. Now if you skip tru the track there's no point anywhere where you could say: "hmmm, now we're in the first body" or "ah, this must be the buildup to the second drop" or anything. Everythings so insanely edited it all sounds alike. Hope you get what I mean...

liked the big reverb intro
moody string part works well
enjoyed the metal style drum rundown.
then the big slicing hits. The slicing really cool and the breakdowns are nice and tight. The way the bass follows them is sharp but I cant help but think, going by the skattyness of the drums, the bass could do with a lot more variation. Youve obviously got the skills but seem a bit wary to go all out.
Judging by some of the edits I reckon that youre a bit of a Venetian Snares fan, Me too. But he really doesnt hold back whatsoever. If youve not heard it Track 7 on the new one (Cant be bolthered to spell it) is a prime example.
the cello part that dips in from time to time is nice but seems out of place with the rest of the tune. u may be going for the contrast of nasty and nice. but i think it could do with some layering to make the chords thicker and a bit more reverb to space it out a bit. the tone is a little grainy atm.
I also think that the track could do with more variation overel, as once it has started, it goes for a while, and then ends.
dont get me wrong this is a quality track but if u went the extra mile to really rinse out on the drums and bass slicing, it could build to an intense and disgusting climax which would finish it off perfectly.
good work

No holding back on this one, just straight to the point, in ya face drumnbass.
Really like the intro, sounds, samples, etc, very nice!
Drum work is really nice as well, dark and deep, very consitant with Titan theme, although a big departure from your last track, nice to see the variations in styles.
Sub bass work is very nice, and love how it plays off the drums, although sub is very bassy, but could just be my equipment over here, or mabey that's what you were after.
Would like to see a breakdown, wait there it is.... brought in around 4:30 or so, hmm..... could be drawn out a little longer to give some down time, and add some ambience.
Overall, nice track, always great work on the chopping, flipping, are re-chopping on the samples. Drums, as mentioned, are very nice and the time put in is apparent, down side would just be it's lack of down time, and gets repetitive after a while. Up side, great track, drums are great, lots of variety, and have a great symetry with the synths and samples.
Would get ya mov'in on the fler tho, which is the goal, so good job!

Surya: I've never heard of Front 242 so nothing from them on this track
I finally got to hear this on my speakers today, and I was pretty happy with the headphone mix - but I guess I'm easily satisfied: I'm just happy that god damn clicking from Battery is gone! Magoo, I agree the vocal needs some eqing.
The haphazard strucutre is what I was going for (been listening to a lot of Squarepucher and Dizzy lately) so I'm not going to change that too much - but I agree the first and 2nd breakdowns need to be extended and the 1st and second drops need something more leading up to them, I'll also try and lob off about a minute of this one.
Thanks again for the great reviews - that's what rules about this site, you can post a work in progress and get really useful criticism

Intro sounds very familiar...(Skrew?) Was that drum roll from Ozzy's "Over the Mountain"? I do hear much resemblance to "Harmony Corrupt". Wicked tune not much to improve on. Good work....as usual. Will this be the B-side to HC?

Wicked tune man! I love all the rolls & fills & that vocal almost sounds like its been manipulated into something completely different. The overall tune is quite repetative but theres so much variation, chops, & breaks that it keeps me interested the whole way through. You really know how to make this style work - how long did it take you to program this?? its hella complex!
Love the sound that comes in 4.37 its panned to the right & sounds amazing! All the sounds in this track fit together & work perfectly. My only concern is that I think the kick could be a little louder...it needs more thud. All the other drum sounds are crisp & clear.
I really love this track, all your stuff imo stands above the rest on this site for the complexity & overall production. This sounds polished to a pro standard.

the low synths and crazy drum editing (which works well) make this a killer track in my opinion.... would shake the dancefloor....
couldn't really find anything wrong with it (tad slow but who cares)
best track ive heard off the site so far.. look forward to your next track

Yes the hard work on the drum edits def show. amazing
This is a stormer, love the flute/string sound
the "rythm" sample and panning of it is the shit!
I know the structure bounces alot but its so technically well produced I can't help but shake my head to it. All those drops...infectious. And the kick/tom fill paning and rolling right to left is
excellent.

your drumz are sick man
nice work on the synth too
but i realy think i hear slight connections to "harmony corrupt"
but anyway your drumz rule an that's the most important part to me
alltogether a really nice track man
can't wait to hear this when it's 100% finished

hard cutting jungle , maybe you could set the BPM of this one at 190 , to give it a more jungle-breakcore thing
basskick-hit sometimes clips on my headphone.
vocals sound a bit metalic/in the background.
I luv ruff jungle , nice one Nosrac.
structure could be better , some more attention for breakdown/break/buildups
impressive
you get a 9/10 from me

Wow, that's evol!! The synths are way too loud, hurt my ear... damn, this is Heavy Metal Jungle
you have some better combinations of the bass now, and the sound of the bass is magnificent! Respekt!
Some great drumming you have there, real drum loops you made... the synths destroyed a bit of the vibe of the tune because they are way too piercing. Try fixing that with reverb.
Wow, I always liked this tune, and now it is even better. The bass is gr8! The sound quality is almost pro! Nice clean sounds, and the dynamics is ok. The jungle loops are juz amaizing!
You have some other bass sound - why didn't you continue using it?! Wow, nice skratch sounds (those on the left ear).
You have a real action going on here. A little recommendation: prolong the begining, or change it at least, because the same atmo you have there and through the whole tune. The crash cymbals are a little quiet, volume the up a bit.
The snare sound is great - punchy and snappy. Ahh those winstons...
Wow, some of the best tunes ever uploaded on dnb.be
One more question: Why do you so desperately try to make your tune DJ friendly?! Leave the djs in their own bussiness, if he can't mix the tune he's a moron and he shouldn't be djing. In this way you kill your inventivity because of that made-up tune structure...
